I had issues with something blanking out my controller configuration every so often – what I did was use WinSCP to revoke write permissions to the file after I had set it. I haven’t had any more problems with it so far.
xmmerParticipantAh, okay – thanks for looking into it! I think you actually answered a long-standing question I had about using older MAME builds; original XBOX emulation had older builds (probably wii MAME, too) and I never understood why before today. I was really just interested in seeing if I could get digitized 90’s fighting games to work, which I’ll assume for now is a hard ‘no’.
Thanks again.
xmmerParticipantSorry, I pulled one once before and it was a 0kb archive, so I assumed it wasn’t writing log files correctly. About half of the archives have no log data, which is probably something different altogether. Anyway, I’ve attached the two specific to my case.
Thank you for your time!
xmmerParticipantNo, I’m in the same boat as you – the face buttons map as d-pad, I think the actual d-pad maps as hat switches. It’s incorrect but makes the game side usable, at least. I’m using a Logitech F310 on a Pi 2 with berryboot if it helps with diagnosis, though I suspect the issue is unrelated to hardware.
xmmerParticipantPPSSPP seems to have its own configuration settings that you can access by pressing the ESC button on a keyboard. I was able to remap controls correctly there. Unfortunately for me, once remapped, the menu registers a constant down press, so the menu becomes unusable afterward. I’m guessing this is part of the “experimental” status of the emulator.
I couldn’t get Reicast to boot any games at all, so I can’t help you there.
