I’m pretty sure they only get added if you update the script then try doing an update install. That is what happens in my experience anyway.
teeth03ParticipantSweet, please keep us updated, I’m looking forward to it.
teeth03ParticipantSo…any thoughts on getting the 2 player Atari fix added in?
teeth03ParticipantLooks like Atari might be fixed, does this help?
teeth03ParticipantI kind of have the same problem with devices in my powered hub, I’m wondering if the hub isn’t providing enough power and I need to get a better one.
Mine is like a 3-4 year old 7 port Rosewill one from NewEgg
teeth03ParticipantWhen I plug my flash drive in, a window pops up and asks me if I want to open it up in File Manager, I do that and it opens right up.
I tried to do over my network, but my Pi does weird things trying to access my Samba share, but that’s not a RetroPie issue.
You should really get a 512 Model B if you really want to do serious emulating on the Pi, aside from the extra USB port, you also get double the RAM. I guess a model A would be good if all you wanted to do was some single player action, you could just hook a hub up just to load ROMs.
On a side note, the joyconfig utility is really just there to let you know what the physical buttons and axis translate to as far as the digital buttons are concerned, my suggestion is to go through joyconfig with each type of controller and notate what buttons and axis are defined there and configure them manually.
teeth03ParticipantYou can already do number 3 by emptying out the associated ROM folder for like the apple2, cave story, x86, doom and duke 3D emulators
teeth03ParticipantAlright, so this what I figured out with the Atari emulator:
B = Fire
Select = Game Select Switch
Start = Game Start
L = Hard Difficulty
L2= Easy DifficultyThe last one was tricky, as you would think R would have changed difficulty instead of L2. I bound L2 to my R button to test with and I was happy to see it work, but dumbfounded by the control scheme. So the other 3 face buttons and R doesn’t do anything from what I can tell.
I just need to know how the heck to enable the 2nd controller and I will be OK, I can live without 2 player DK on the SNES for now.
teeth03Participant^ copy and paste the link
teeth03ParticipantDid you do this?
https://github.com/retropie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Is-there-another-way-to-set-up-the-gamepad-for-use,-e.g.,-withing-the-snes-emulator%3F
teeth03Participanteach controller should have an index you can switch in the configuration, I’m not an expert, but you might have to have all the controllers plugged in at the same time for it to work.
