no it has everything to do with the resolution. All my other games are in 800×6000 and play perfectly widescreen and fit my tv. The mvs games at that resolution have thick black bars at the top and botton and dont fit the screen fully. The only resolution that fits the screen for these games is 1360×768 which is the native resolution on my tv. When I play the mvs games in this resolution sometimes the sound works sometimes it does. Prime example I just changed the resolution from 800×600 to 1360×768 and the sound played. I exited the game and went back it still played. When I restarted retropie and went to play a mvs game the sound nolonger plays.

smoothmalikParticipantworked like a charm thanks blockaboots..didnt have to do that save core thing and frankly couldnt find it..
smoothmalikParticipantwhen i change to bi-linear filtering in lb-retro. I save the configs and it looks just how I want it to. However once I restart the emulator and go back to a game it reverts back to the default point filtering everytime wtf!
smoothmalikParticipantim still on 2.6 . I did add the lines in retroacrch.cfg however it did nothing I still had to manually make the changes in the ingame settings.
smoothmalikParticipantissue resolved it was the power chain….I had and on/off usb switch connected to the power supply guess the rpi2 didnt like it and wasnt giving it the full power. I removed it and tekken is playing at full speed.
smoothmalikParticipantI overclocked it to the pi2 settings and now gameplay is faster but i wouldnt say 100 percent more like 80 percent.
smoothmalikParticipantits a pi2 already
smoothmalikParticipantbump
smoothmalikParticipantyea the border is only specific the the pifba emulator ….
smoothmalikParticipanti updated the rc.local file as instructed above. It worked once and never worked again. I went to check on the rc.local file and its now blank for some reason.
smoothmalikParticipantthanks but I prefer the pifba emulator over the libretro it looks better to me…
smoothmalikParticipantissue resolved
smoothmalikParticipantCan somebody with a correctly working pifba post their fba2x.cfg file here…my jstest isnt working so I have no clue what the numbers of the buttons are on my ps3 controller. I just want to get this working.
smoothmalikParticipantbefore i upgrade to 3 beta my retropie was working like a charm using the setting killer101 provided above…I could never get the proper mapping so i did a fresh reinstall of 2.6. Im merely trying to get the start and select button to take me back to emulation station when im playing a game and get the ab and xy buttons to work. None of this seems to be happening. IM using a ps3 controller. WHen i just jstest I just get a buncha random scrolling of numbers on the screen none of which I can actually find out the numbers of the buttons. WHen i do the input check it does show I have an active input of js0…. I literally havent played a game in over a month this is starting to kill me inside.
smoothmalikParticipantall I want to be able to do is edit the cfg file to change the buttons so that I can assign my abxy buttons and have select button insert coins and select + start exits back to emulationstation like I had it in 2.6. What happened from 2.6 to 3 beta that negated all this
smoothmalikParticipantim tryin this on the latest beta and once it says waiting for controller and I connect the system never loads up. Just stays on the boot screen still saying waiting for controller.
smoothmalikParticipantyea ill try later tonight or tomorrow morning.
smoothmalikParticipantso whatever im doing doesnt seem to work with my pifba controls. To start off once if upgraded to the latest beta and i went searching from the fba2x.cfg file it I couldn never find it. it was supposed to be in /opt/retropie/configs/fba/fba2x.cfg but the only file located there was a retroarch.cfg file. I manually copy and pasted a fba2x.cfg file I had back in 2.6 when i needed to edit my controls. No matter what I change these controls too then save them nothing changes in fba when i restart and run the emulator on retropie.
I did manager to find a shortcut file in retropie/emulators/pifba/ that showed its path was to the /opt/retropie/configs/fba/fba2x.cfg however until i manually copied and pasted the fba2x.cfg no such file actually existed
smoothmalikParticipantI also cannot get my pifba controls to be assigned like I had previously in my fba2x.cfg file. I actually didnt intend to update to the beta but accidently did now I just want my controlls in pifba to work like they did in 2.6. I still have my fba2x.cfg file from 2.6 saved on my computer but the folders are different now. Can I just copy and paste it? Also in emulationstation to setup controlls to use in retroarch there shouldnt be a time limit on how fast to assign a button before it moves on to the next one.

04/14/2015 at 22:58 in reply to: ps3 controller on bluetooth- anyway to save the emulation station settings? #94898smoothmalikParticipantfor me if it connects to bluetooth before it boots into emulationstation then i dont have to configure anything the controller immediately works if it doesnt get recognized then I have to keep restarting till it does connect and then manually setup the controller in the emulationstation screen
smoothmalikParticipantthanks
smoothmalikParticipantProxy,
Thanks, and yea im using a RPI 2bsmoothmalikParticipantim using fba for all my neo geo roms and they all play except for this one.. and they are all version FB Alpha v0.2.97.31 roms which I have put in romcenter and all show to be compatible. This is the only one that caused me a problem.
smoothmalikParticipantwhat?
smoothmalikParticipantHas anyone got KOF 2003 to play? It loads in fba-libretro however the graphics are displaced and not all the imagery loads but the buttons are responsive.
smoothmalikParticipanti dont think missing graphics has anything to do with unibios. Within fba libretro i enabled it in the retroarch settings. For me I press L2 + triangle on the ps2 controller to access that within the emulator. For you the key mapping maybe different.
smoothmalikParticipantThe unibios was not enabled in retroach. Once I realized that and enabled it the unibios is now working.
smoothmalikParticipantthanks for the great info. I guess i’m being abit greedy.
smoothmalikParticipantbump… help
smoothmalikParticipantsame thing happens to me
smoothmalikParticipanti unzipped the unibios 3.1 renamed it to the asia-s3.rom
I unzipped the neogeo.zip
I placed the renamed asia-s3.rom into the neogeo folder that was created when i unzipped it. I renamed the og asisa-s3.rom to uni-bios.rom
I zipped the folder and put a copy in the main bios folder and the roms folder of fbi-libretro.When the games are about to start and are in the weird color flashing screen I press abc buttons simutaneously nothing happens. I even tried pressing start + the abc buttons as that screen loads, Nothing.
smoothmalikParticipantTrying to get this latest unibios working in fba…if anyone can help with the steps on where to but the files etc that would be very helpful….
smoothmalikParticipantthat worked bro your a genius …the controller now works, with your configurations…
