Some amazing builds. What I would say is have a budget and design what you want before starting. Don’t just base it on having a spare monitor. For example mine had to be portable as I run a game group.
robofruitParticipantI am having this problem too, tried a binary install and it didn’t help :o(
robofruitParticipantFloob that’s awesome going to save a ton of time! Especially seeing as how the old site does not seem like it’s going to be back up any time soon.
robofruitParticipantBinary install fixed issues for me following advice from Buzz. Smash Bros still slow though, shame.
robofruitParticipantThe website that hosts the database : https://thegamesdb.net is down at the moment. No idea how to contact the person who hosts it. Looks like a timestamp problem to me due to daylight savings changing. If you want to know how to do images and text manually message me and I can send a brief description. It’s not that hard to do.
robofruitParticipant@strawberrytau. Thanks I had already done that, all running OK for info. I managed to get some increased performance by adjusting the video settings but still some sound issues.
robofruitParticipant@max0r yes that’s what I meant. Ah I see what you mean, I haven’t tried the N64 emu with that setting only SNES and NES which use retroarch. As I understand it mupen64 uses its own auto config so probably ignores the retroarch settings. May be worth you starting a new thread as may get lost in this one.
robofruitParticipant@max0r if you add the following to the emulators retroarch.cfg file under /opt/emulators/configs/’emulator’ it will allow exit with start and select …
input_enable_hotkey_btn = “8”
input_exit_emulator_btn = “9”Where 8 was my joypads select button and 9 my start button.
robofruitParticipantSorted !
Found an old post by petrockblock. To resolve I removed the hotkey option from my retroarch.cfg under NES and added the line to enable keyboard escape as below …
#input_enable_hotkey_btn = “8”
#input_exit_emulator_btn = “9”
input_exit_emulator = escapeWorks like a charm :o)
robofruitParticipantOh and make sure they are extracted and not in zip file format.
robofruitParticipantI did this today and I am so chuffed, thanks buzz. For info max0r I used the gles2n64 emulator with defualt screen size and Mario Kart works like a dream, no sound pops or glitches. I now have an N64 again, even got my pi inside one with USB ports wired to the front where the old N64 ones were. Loving it.
robofruitParticipantI downloaded and installed at 14:00 today GMT and I can’t for the life of me find the N64 ROM folder. Am I missing something?
