es_systems.cfg should be in /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg
ribenickelParticipanthow to change mode you can find here for vga
https://github.com/retropie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Advanced-Configuration
720p ishdmi_group=1 hdmi_mode=19
ribenickelParticipantChange output to 720p or even vga if you have 1080p. Helped me a lot with graphical issues.
ribenickelParticipanthad the same issue and many others like unreadable text, suddenly black window with 1080p. Since i turned output to 720p it works just fine.
ribenickelParticipantTry this:
1. Go To Paradies find PSX_Bios Pack
2. Unzip and Rename
PSX – SCPH5500.BIN -> scph5500.bin
PSX – SCPH5502.BIN -> scph5502.bin
PSX – SCPH7003.BIN -> scph5501.bin
3. Copy the 3 files to /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS
Good LuckribenickelParticipantYou could test some different bios files
scph5500.bin
scph5501.bin
scph5502.bin
and put them in the folder home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS
I also have version 2.2 and i think it works though i havent tested savegames yet, but i dont get missing bios shown anymoreribenickelParticipanti would like to try but i am new with unix so all this build, make, install… stuff is a little confunsing. So i just write down the my steps please tell me if i do sth wrong:
$ sudo su //i am lazy $ cd /opt/retropie/emulators/ $ git clone (https://github.com/ricrpi/mupen64plus) //without brackets $ cd ./mupen64plus $ ./build.sh $ make && install ./
when i do build.sh it starts but then throws an error 403 while accesing github.com/ricrpi/mupen64plus/info/refs ????
Did anybody here encounter the same?
ribenickelParticipant[quote=12587]
for example how do I get the gba bios into the folder?
The gba bios has to be inserted into the folder /opt/retropie/emulators/gpsp/rasperrypi/… this folder needs admin rights so either you chown this folder or you enter admin mode “sudo su” -> “startx”
ribenickelParticipantThe Sega CD Path is fixed in Image v 2.2
ribenickelParticipantAs a windows user and linux starter i like to change my retroarch files inside a gui. To do that i type “sudo su” in shell to get root acces and afterwards “startx” to enter rasbian gui then i can open the file via leaf and save changes. After I’m done i just reboot to loose root acess again…
ribenickelParticipanthi i just copied the 2.2 Image on my rasbi(rev2). The Menu is just awesome. But i cant get N64 Emulation working. It seems to start the display is blurring but then i fall back to emulationstation. After reading the error it says sth like:
Stopping Emulation at 3286
Core status Rom closed
I already tried different versions of roms z64, n64, v64 but always the same ist there an additiaonal config or bios necessary for n64 Emulation or what can help? -
