I would love to have the psx boot up sequence as well.
quackwalksParticipantHow should I merge retroarch.cfg.rp-dist with the old retroarch config?
quackwalksParticipantBefore doing a fresh install with 3.3, I had problems backing up all my scraped images. I used both sselph’s scraper and emulationstation’s which I think use different paths to store the images. What could I do to ensure backing up all scraped data?
quackwalksParticipantWorks for me. Thank you so much.
quackwalksParticipantIt did work, until I updated an emulator and tried to play some neo geo games. It seemed like a fluke.
I tried a back up and changed the line of code. I would have to remove the ps3 controller setup and re install it. Then after pairing the controllers and doing a full shut down, they would both pair again, but they would only do it once. I’m getting an error durring boot that says,
Can’t set scan mode on hci0: Network is down (100)
[FAIL] startpar: service(s) returned failure: rc.local … failed!I assume this relates to the change suggested in this solution.
I’ll start from scratch in a year or so.quackwalksParticipantRetro Pie 3.0
Rpi 2
2 official ps3 controllers
1 pluggable brand usb dongleI can confirm this worked for me, but only if I used a video splash screen which took 30 seconds to complete. (the legend of retro splash screen) I tried using an image splash screen only once but I think they need some time to connect.
quackwalksParticipantI understand. Won’t happen again.
quackwalksParticipantRpi 2
3.0 imageI had both working until I followed instructions to fix the problems with pifba not recognizing the ps3 controllers. I reformatted and copied a backup from when they were working. Now only one will pair and sometimes neither will pair. I’m thankful for the hard work of everyone involved, but I must say this ps3 bluetooth controller crap is a [removed] mess.
quackwalksParticipantWelp, It seems to be working without any tinkering except for this. Try pressing both PS buttons on each controller at the same time and try doing it early in the boot up sequence.
quackwalksParticipantI’m having the exact same problem. RPI2 3.0 Image. I can pair 2 ps3 controllers using one “plugable” brand bluetooth adapter through the setup, but only until I shutdown. After boot up I’m only able to pair one of the two with the button press, while the other will blink all four lights. I have a backup image if I need to restart from before I began trying to install and pair PS3 controllers.
