I disabled the filter for bin in emulation station and ensured a filter for cue was available.

Loading the cue file should work.

I know for the OpenPandora the HiResolution settings run full speed but this is an Cortex A8 and maybe the Neon instructions run more optimally.

Additionally The Pandora has auto frameskip. You can only set a constant frameskip value in RetroArch. You can get reasonable performance by setting this to 1 but it’s not perfect as you do see more juddering.

I’m not sure what to say apart from that I also have this problem.

I have to shut down the pi every time I exit Kodi as it just locks on a black screen instead of going back to ES.

Doesn’t seem to let me put a link here and the file is too big to attach directly… :S

IIRC Elite was only released in Europe, so may need to force a 50Hz TV Mode.

Running a 50Hz game on a 60Hz TV Mode would cause jumpyness.

Yes I could put it up somewhere to download. Please note I’m at work right now so I have no promises as to when I’ll get around to it, but possibly tonight when I’m back home.

I do have the files, but they don’t do anything useful, hopefully someone will have better luck porting (and with less drama).

The Pandora has had a port for ages so I was surprised that this hadn’t been done yet, I’m guessing the original Pi was just to slow to handle it?

If you grab the files from jbam above, then you can copy them into the correct places and get it running. But it seems to crash whenever the memorystick file should be created.

No one has mentioned anyway to get passed this problem. :(

Has any one got this to create the memory stick saves and not crash?
I’m not really certain starwing was as fast as the pocketsnes emulation. Pocketsnes runs really snappy but seems to be toooo fast. I can’t remember it ran so fast at all. snes9x-next seems to run slower but there is no audio crackling or input lag. Retroarch runs at decent 60fps. I really think snes9x-next resamples the real behavior of the original hardware.
Please remember that “Star Wing” is a PAL game and should be running at 50Hz and not 60Hz

If you are forcing 60Hz it will be running too fast! Although many games were just slowed down to 50Hz for PAL. From N64 onwards PAL conversions got more reliable.

You should be able to install the gpsp retro arch version. I think it’s in the Experimental section.

The original gpsp has no way to configure the save files output.
