OH ok thanks, i could only imagine how extensive it is when i noticed the cpu heat raising. Usually bays at around 50 but was raised to 70 during testing.
12/06/2015 at 13:58 in reply to: Overclocking and Stress / Reliability testing the Raspberry Pi #111302OmnijaParticipantI tested using mprime and ended up with \Found 525 primes.
Wasn’t sure what the meaning of it is, since there wasn’t any elaborations on results and meanings?OmnijaParticipantgpu_mem_1024=320
# customized rpi2 configurations
# overheating protection
temp_limit=75# disable boot up rainbow splash
disable_splash=1# overclocking rpi2 settings
arm_freq=1000
core_freq=467
sdram_freq=467OmnijaParticipantoverclocking or not n64 isn’t optimized well for the rpi2. Overclocking for the psx i did see improved smoothness with high effect games such as twisted metal splitscreen and others.
OmnijaParticipantNo you don’t need a heat sink, and i don’t think default it’s the best option. Since overclocking the core to 500 causes freezing and instability. Cpu/GPU should be fine as is, but if you would like to bump it up to 320 that’s fine too.
Check this out before overclocking.
http://linuxonflash.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/a-look-at-raspberry-pi-2-performance.htmlIf you are worried about overheating make sure it’s not in an enclosed case. If you would like an example of a lego case with air flow let me know.
OmnijaParticipantTimes like this is why i like arch linux (rolling releases) over any of the other distro’s. It saddens me when a new version is released and the old one drops support.
OmnijaParticipantFrom this thread it does show that the buttons are hard coded.
http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=2108&pid=111910#pid111910the method they mentioned does fix the issue, i forked the ppsspp github and made the edit. Change the git link in the retropie ppsspp script and recompiled the emulator. I don’t have the controller issue anymore and i can freely edit my controls without issue.
OmnijaParticipantA lot if not most times getting a shorted cable seems to fix the issue. I originally was using an a tablet charger but got the rainbow image. So i went to buy a new one from the store i got the pi from. I came back home and had the same issue, so i simple changed the wire to a shorter one and it fixed the issue.
Also this
1000 0 467 467 0 0 0 OK (multi-test) 867 1410 2.146sseems very stable and i haven’t any problems with those setting while overclocking.
OmnijaParticipantI read somewhere might be mistaken, but it has something to do with it probably being hard coded incorrectly.
OmnijaParticipantPurposely avoiding it, since i had tons of lag last time i attempted at using it.
OmnijaParticipantWhen you press (A) button does it show as (A) button when you remap? mine doesn’t, it shows up as Directional buttons and (L) buttons. I also have the menu problem trying to remap as well.
OmnijaParticipantAre there any working version of 15.2 yet? All other binaries are for jessie and im still on wheezy unless it’s safe to upgrade>?
OmnijaParticipantMy problem with the controller is that the emulator thinks my ab yx are directional buttons and the rest of my buttons and d-pad are the buttons.
Besides that i just achieved 30-50fps playing soulcalibur destiny during fighting. Playing on 40″ inch screen.
Monster Hunter Unite fluctuates but i noticed that putting a framerate to 1 stabilizes it and it runs smoother even if it says 15fps.
OmnijaParticipantI’ve tested soulcalibur destiny, managed frame rates between 20 to 35 during fights and around 60 during menus. Using the keyboard is awful since i’m having controller issues not being assigned properly.
OmnijaParticipantI actually didn’t know his name so i couldn’t give him credit, i can’t edit the first post so ill credit him in the source.
Thanks for letting me know
OmnijaParticipantTry updating the pi with “sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade” then recompile the raspi2png see if the problem persists.
OmnijaParticipantSo basicly it’s not a bug, and it gets annoying to replace/xD
OmnijaParticipantFor psx i converted my cds into .pbp files, and for dosbox i make sh scripts to keep it clean and organized.
OmnijaParticipantGo to opt/retropie/configs/c64/emulators.cfg and add -cartcrt before %rom%. Should look like this…
vice-x64=”/opt/retropie/emulators/vice/bin/x64 -cartcrt %ROM%”
If you would like the controllers to auto be added.
Go to opt/retropie/configs/c64/sdl-vicerc and add this to it.JoyDevice1=4
JoyDevice2=4OmnijaParticipantI’ve gotten it to work with out any issues.
OmnijaParticipant-
Update
Here’s a release of v1.1
https://mega.nz/#!xlEhiD7I!e6lAGeIUUPk8h-OxTz2Tu0qE5g4ddKWPREgmXuwvxAcUpdates from now on will be pushed through github
OmnijaParticipantSupport as in auto boot?
OmnijaParticipantyou should add Retro City Rampage: 486 it works as well.
OmnijaParticipantSome Sega images, dreamcast & genesis are also done as well. Added shadows to the bottom and top overlay to give it more dimension.

For some reason i can’t edit the official post…
OmnijaParticipantFor 15$ i’d buy it. As to why nobody is willing to tinker with it, is a tragic.
OmnijaParticipantYou stated yours as a config issue, mine is probably a controller issue. Since i’ve always sort of had issues with the xbox 360 rock candy controller. Over time it randomly switches from generic xbox controller to harmonix controller. When it did that it stopped working all together.
I also did this
removed all retroarch related config, reinstalled retroarch from binaries. remapped controller using the retropie-setup script.
Did not fix my issue.
Also when ES does the config input R2 and sometimes Thumb Left never registers and gets skipped.
OmnijaParticipantI think it’s missing L2 ,R2 and possibly a joystick. Selling open source things is a bad idea, especially when you aren’t a contributor or developer of those projects.
OmnijaParticipantI’m pretty sure retroarch is against selling there source as well. I remembered reading something about retroarch having problems with retron using there codes and sources for their merchandise.
edit: http://www.engadget.com/2014/09/28/retroarch-authors-retron-5s-emulators-code-violate-licenses/
OmnijaParticipantHmm my pi had an update today and seems to have fixed the issue?
OmnijaParticipant
That lovely little square is telling you you have an insufficient power supply. You need 2A 5V. Sometimes cables can be bad even if your power supply is good. Get a new adapter. I use one from amazon from kootek that seems to work fine for me.
I had this issue and all i had to do was use a shorter usb cable. In some cases it is the power supply but if you have a smaller wire i would try that before changing power supply.
p.s it’s not a stupid question lol.
OmnijaParticipantI don’t think cue is a must have but normally come with it when you create bin type formats. If they are zipped you need to unzip it, psx doesn’t read zip format.
Hope that helps.
OmnijaParticipant.BIN also need .CUE files to work i’m pretty sure. Are it/they zipped?
OmnijaParticipantOmnijaParticipantNo i don’t, but it is fully usable as it is now. The (WIP) is more to just let everyone know that i’am and will be continuing to update it.
OmnijaParticipantI haven’t tried myself, but have you checked the retroarch settings while in game to see if their is a method to enable?
In anycase it does or doesn’t there is a rom hack which allows you to use the joystick as the mouse.
