OmnijaParticipant
Should be under “ports” or if someone is willing to modify ES to add it to the menu.
OmnijaParticipantif your pi hits around 80c/85c it can cause damage other wise its fine.
02/26/2016 at 00:00 in reply to: POLL: Which default video mode do you prefer? (video_smooth on or off) #118169OmnijaParticipantSmooth OFF, it always makes the game look blurry instead of clear.
OmnijaParticipantuse_art=”0″
disable_joystick=”0″
governor=””
disable_menu=”0″OmnijaParticipantdid you check the retroarch-core-options.cfg settings and see if the joypad is set to standard or it is set to analog?
OmnijaParticipantcea-2 works but not cea-1
OmnijaParticipantWhat the hell my post went missing ?
OmnijaParticipantit’s been done https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9aBecYzerI&feature=youtu.be
OmnijaParticipantit worked for me on pc using 0.10.0, i don’t see how that would effect the pi any differently.
@adid4s the down side to love is that there aren’t many update guides and most dated guides are poorly explained.
OmnijaParticipantWhite screens can happen for multiple reasons.
– need to refresh ES for new theme
– gpu split needs to be higher due to too many emulators
– gpu split needs to be higher theme is heavy in graphicsi think there might be another but those 3 are pretty common.
OmnijaParticipant@micha1982 if this project isn’t to your liking, you can try other projects which share the same idea.
-recalbox
-piplay
-happiOmnijaParticipant2d shooter
https://github.com/2bt/gorgeOmnijaParticipantLooks awesome, have you thought of an easy way to incorporate this with ES scaping?
OmnijaParticipantSselph’s scraper does not work for pbp, so if you have pbp files then it won’t scrape anything and you need to use the default one or manually add them.
OmnijaParticipantYou could always try 1 of the newer lightweight themes and reduce your gpu to 128. This will give you 128 extra ram to help buff out some of the lag.
As mentioned above n64 will always have issue but psx would probably benefit from the overclock and extra ram.
OmnijaParticipantReplaced background with one i drew up to resemble the borrowed one.
OmnijaParticipantYou could use your w/e file explorer and right click on it, click properties to check the permissions manually add (pi) to group and make sure X is checked.
Side Note : linux is strict(case sensetive) and that look like a capital K, try
sudo chown pi:pi Kodi.sh
OmnijaParticipantWinSCP
OmnijaParticipantHerbfargus could you test if disable sound increases fps? I noticed a difference but wasn’t able to verify FPS on screen.
OmnijaParticipantIt won’t cause white screen for multiple reasons.
1 it’s exceptionally tiny total = less 1mb
2 it uses colour filters instead of heavy duty image layering.OmnijaParticipant@dudleydes I actually tried that before this one, after quitting kodi it would screw up my ES controller settings. I also tried 0000 and did lsusb using the logic3 vender/product id and it still didn’t work
OmnijaParticipantAny idea on how to set up an xbox 360 controller when the vendor and product ID comes out as 0000 after using cat /proc/bus/input/devices
also tried lsusb but it didn’t seem to map anything?
OmnijaParticipantHow come after setting up the time and date in the vmu, it resets on each boot?
OmnijaParticipantI’ve never installed any of my dosbox games, i merely run them through a launch script instead. Have you tried to do that instead >?
http://dosonthepi.blogspot.ca/2015/01/run-dos-games-in-retropie_15.html
OmnijaParticipantTurns out sometimes the emulator won’t pick up the controllers settings. I had to delete the emu.cfg to have it recognize the new inputs.
OmnijaParticipantRecently heard about it as well, but didn’t look into it much.
OmnijaParticipant+ added MoonLight and LimeLight for those who enjoy game streaming.

OmnijaParticipantThese hotkeys
input_enable_hotkey_btn = 8 input_exit_emulator_btn = 9
are only usable for retroarch emulators, all other emulators such as vice,dosbox,n64 (etc) have other methods or quitting/stopping emulators.
I’m also assuming the capital resetting you are pulling the plug? You could always ssh and send a reboot command to not short circuit it.
If using a keyboard backspace and enter are can quit retroarch emulators or in some cases esc.
12/30/2015 at 23:01 in reply to: No option to configure joypad in Retroarchinput, only keyboard #112750OmnijaParticipantI was also disappointed in seeing this happen, considering a lot of users tend to have multiple types of controllers. It also made configurations painless and easy to rebind for w.e reason especially since ES configuration never properly binded with retroarch.
OmnijaParticipantIll give it a shot again.
Edit: nope even adjusting everything to as minimal as possible for some reason recalbox’s n64 works better.
OmnijaParticipantWhen did retropie jumped to jessie?
Try putting this in your opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads
https://mega.nz/#!o1tBQLJS!pXdf-umX32eRssYkM9d4cq2X0iGaiifwnZy1NtSIGf4
OmnijaParticipantI did this yesterday due to xpad pissing me off with the flashing light, the problem is the script to configure joystick/gamepad to retroarch is missing. Normally you could go to retropie scripts and do this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PWO-F4zuaY but the option only does keyboards now.
I had to manually add my key settings to the retroarch.cfg.
OmnijaParticipantmupen64plus is very playable with recalbox for some reason(not sure why on recalbox but not retropie). PPSSPP i would suggest pc or android, and reicast i have no comment on since i was unable to test it on neither.
OmnijaParticipantAs much as it’s possible to update through the script, it’s recommeneded to install as a fresh img and copy over the roms/configs and w/e else. I stayed on 3.1 since updating through script never really works out well for me. (found it tedious to constantly do that process for every release)
Side note: it also depends on skins/emulator total and other things depending on where and how you freeze as well.
OmnijaParticipantI like the final version best, it accents whats most important in a neat way.
