ill defo be trying to get this working. if i get any joy i will post a howtomaughanoramaParticipanthttps://www.abelectronics.co.uk/products/17/Raspberry-Pi–Raspberry-Pi-2-Model-B/54/IO-Pi-Plus
im going to use the above ,,, slighlty cheaper than control block and you get 32 extra inputs as well as the 26 on the pi. however some configuration is going to be required so if you are not versed in linux it m,ay be a struggle but to be honest its nothing a quick google wont sort

maughanoramaParticipantalso am i right in thinking that there is 26 usable gpios on the rpi3 ? i.e i could map 26 buttons direct to the gpios and daisy chain the grnds ?
thanks
maughanoramaParticipantcool cheers
i was thinking prob just mame, super nintendo, master system, and hopefully daphne
maughanoramaParticipantyou can pin the stick and buttons directly to the gpios rather than use them usb things….im after doing the same except i think its limited to the amount of buttons

the controll block looks promising https://www.petrockblock.com/2014/12/29/controlblock-power-switch-and-io-for-the-raspberry-pi/ -
