I have an IPAC 2, so my controls are seen as keyboard inputs. I honestly didn’t look too much into the problem, as soon as I noticed there was something wrong, I switched back to lr-mame2003. I’ll do a few more tests when I have some more free time.

katsudoroParticipantDemon Front works almost perfectly on lr-fba-next. I’ve been trying to run the game for months with no results, then once I switched to the raspberry pi 3 and I made a fresh new install I added to the rom folder not only the pgm bios but also the file isgsm.zip (obviously make sure you have the proper romset for the lr-fba-next) and now all the pgm games work flawlessly. Let me know if you need further help, I can understand the frustration you are going through and since I’ve been there, I’ll do whatever I can to help you lol.

katsudoroParticipantFor me it took a while, I thought the same thing, that it was stuck in an infinite loop, but eventually it stopped and it was fully installed.
katsudoroParticipantI am not an expert however let me see if I can help. You should give more information about the emulator you are using. My guess is that you are struggling with psx games right? in that case what I would do is reconfigure the buttons in the retroarch.cfg file in the psx folder. Just make sure that you write all the lines with the correct input mapping above the text that says in your text file (I am copying from your cfg file):
#include "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg" video_shader_enable = "false" input_max_users = "5" input_menu_toggle_gamepad_combo = "0"
I hope I was of any help.
katsudoroParticipantok this is driving me crazy. I downloaded a complete new romset (51gb) for mame 0.161 which is exactly the same romset that lr-fba-next uses. It should work fine once I place all the roms in the fba folder but I still have the same problem. I even tried to rebuild the roms with a 0.161 dat file (which obviously gave me back an exact copy of the rom files) and it still doesn’t work. Do you have any idea how I can fix this? the files that I use are:
pgm.zip
dmnfrnt.zip
svg.zip
martmast.zip
I also tried putting in the roms/fba/ folder all the clone roms (dmnfrnta.zip, dmnfrntb.zip etc) but no results.
Every other system works fine, neogeo and cps1,2 and 3 games run great, I am only having problems with this one.
My guess is that the files in the pgm.zip bios for some reasons are wrong. I’ll post a picture of the files in my pgm.zip and in my martmast.zip if any of you can please check them with your working ones it would really be appreciated.
Thanks!katsudoroParticipantDid you upgrade to a different version of retropie? I was thinking that maybe if you upgraded to a newer version with updated emulators probably you have an obsolete romset and that’s the reason why they are not launching. If not, I would try re downloading the img file and do another fresh new install.
katsudoroParticipant
Did you rebuild any of your romsets?
Yes, here are the steps I do before adding a game to my retropie: grab the rom from my main romset on my desktop PC, use clrmamepro and the lr-fba-next .DAT file to generate a compatible rom for the retropie and then I transfer it on the SD card. Maybe I should grab the rom from a different source and go through all the steps and see what happens. I’ll do it as soon as I get home.
katsudoroParticipantThanks for answering. I am using lr-fba-next, it’s weird because all the other games (cps2, cps3, neogeo) play fine. I am guessing I have the wrong pgm romset? Would you be so kind to tell me what romset do you have for the pgm and the exact name of the rom files you are running? thanks again.
katsudoroParticipantLooks neat! Good job!
katsudoroParticipantThat was the problem! Thanks.
I think the installation was successful, now I just gotta find where it put the emulator and how i can launch it.
Thanks again! -
