    It can be done via Windows (/Boot/ is accessible on the SD Card within Windows) or done directly on the PI via command line:

    sudo nano /boot/config.txt

    Make the changes and then save (CTRL+X then Y)

    Put a # before hdmi_safe=1 and then reboot.
    If you can’t get the desired resolution and/or it blackscreens, you may need a powered HDMI to VGA adaptor.
