InsecureSpikeParticipant
ah, just thought you wanted to delete folder/files
InsecureSpikeParticipantplug the card into yer pc/mac navigate to the desired folders and delete, then put it back in yer pi
InsecureSpikeParticipantis there anyway to apply scanlines via an overlay to the other systems, that do not get changed automatically, when selecting one of the presets in the Video Manager Tool?
or would i have to manually edit and use shaders?
thanks
InsecureSpikeParticipantyup correct
InsecureSpikeParticipanthi Floob, how can i find the current version number of your Video Manager
thanksjust found it here.
InsecureSpikeParticipantawesome! thank you
InsecureSpikeParticipantplease forgive my foolishness, how can i use the settings above?
thanks
InsecureSpikeParticipantdo you have a full bios set?
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/FinalBurn-Alpha
InsecureSpikeParticipantalso those rom sets & bios are very easily available!
InsecureSpikeParticipantor try these!!
InsecureSpikeParticipantmediafire is good
InsecureSpikeParticipantawesome! thanks ill try tomorro
InsecureSpikeParticipanti can’t seem to post anything with links….
found some info on the libretto forums
InsecureSpikeParticipantI’ve just found a dedicated rom set, with naming like mame has, all are .7z zipped
they don’t work as .7z even with that added to the es_systems.cfg
nor do they work as .zip…
the files are numbered as labelwhore said earlier
ok, when I wake up I’m gonna rebuild this rom set I’ve found, using that day file as I’ve found a Mac version of that rom manager
InsecureSpikeParticipant@, labelwhore & herbfargus,
ok, i have an idea, but i have a MAC and can’t go any further than just the idea, i’m thinking a PC is needed to further our progression…..
i think we use the .dat file to convert a set of colecovision roms, like we do with mame roms, do we think this could be possible?
InsecureSpikeParticipantawesome, I’ll get that and give it a go,
I think I have nearly a full set of Colecovision romsInsecureSpikeParticipantoh, I only have 3 bios files in my bios zip!
I need to find a new set thenInsecureSpikeParticipantok, got BIOs in both folders, zipped & unzipped.
now it looks like its trying to start, (that coloured line flashes up) but then back to emulation station,
i looked at the runcommand.log and theres nothing in thereInsecureSpikeParticipantactually i was getting mixed up with Oric roms, but still gonna test
InsecureSpikeParticipantyeah I have some roms that are like that I’ll try later…. bios go in the usual bios folder?
InsecureSpikeParticipantor for Mac, FileZilla or CyberDuck
InsecureSpikeParticipantyup got it working on Jessie, thanks fella!
InsecureSpikeParticipantnice work fella
InsecureSpikeParticipantfancy posting links?
InsecureSpikeParticipantnot sure, not home right now, can’t you adjust them manually via the app?
InsecureSpikeParticipanttry FileZilla, it’s very fast via Mac, shouldn’t be too different
InsecureSpikeParticipantyour welcome fella, glad ya got it all sorted!
InsecureSpikeParticipantyup, you got it fella
InsecureSpikeParticipantyup, that’s it, fella
InsecureSpikeParticipantdf -h
InsecureSpikeParticipantquite possible, mate
InsecureSpikeParticipantno mate usb’s auto mount, in RetroPie
InsecureSpikeParticipantbut, if your other roms are showing up fine then there may be another reason, maybe something simple, maybe….
uppercase or lowercase text?
InsecureSpikeParticipantI’d like just to point out, I’m not saying this is the way this should be done, this is the way I have done it & it works well for me
ok, here goes,
firstly I edited /boot/config.txt on a fresh RetroPie image.
sudo nano /boot/config.txt
adding right at the bottom
max_usb_current=1
next I format the drive to ext4 via a spare rPi running Raspbian, using gparted
sudo apt-get install gparted
next boot the RetroPie image I prepared earlier, with the drive in.
once set up RetroPie, I set permissions on the drive with, this will allow to add files as & when needed via ftpsudo chown -R pi:pi /media/usb0
now I don’t use any uuid’s as I don’t plan on using any other drives, (I use a 128gb USB drive)
then i can create folders & add roms…
then edit the es_systems.cfg
pointing directories to
/media/usb0/
InsecureSpikeParticipantwell I used to run my system from my USB, but now I’ve changed my setup to using USB only for roms and sd for system files,
ok here’s what I did and all works perfect,
since you’ve done a lot of work already I’d suggest trying this as your addressing your es_systems.cfg
/media/usb0/PSX
if no good I’ll go through my step by step set up
