also on the FAQ on the wiki:
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/FAQ#why-cant-i-ssh-as-root-anymore
use the resources available to you.
herbfargusMemberYes or wait like a day and start with 3.5
herbfargusMemberLink for reference:

BTW @benwlson feel free to add a short tutorial on the wiki page about sorting out the larger image.
herbfargusMemberKnown issue
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/issues/1211. It’s been fixed and will be part of the next retropie release.herbfargusMemberIt is no longer an issue with kodi 15 on raspbian Jessie. I would highly suggest you move to raspbian Jessie as wheezy will no longer be supported in the future.
herbfargusMemberNext day or two give or take.
herbfargusMemberAlso BTW when you are reinstalling emulationstation make sure you’ve exited (I.e. don’t access the retropie setup script from within emulationstation) sometimes the binary isn’t replaced when emulationstation is running
herbfargusMemberYeah you’d need to update your setup script and reinstall emulationstation from the setup script. (I’m pretty sure binaries were built) if not try building it from source
herbfargusMemberIt’s been fixed and will be part of the next release of retropie.
Really you should just use winscp for sorting through your roms. It’s easier to delete mass amounts.
herbfargusMemberSorry ammended previous post. Should work.
herbfargusMembersudo apt-get install joystick
02/04/2016 at 18:19 in reply to: Purely cosmetic question (command line appearing after Emulationstation) #116239herbfargusMemberBTW an option has been added to disable the runcommand launch menu and will be part of the next release of retropie.
herbfargusMemberTry a diff emulator?
herbfargusMemberI add documentation as soon as its put into the code. I don’t have it perfect by any means as I am only able to add to it in the free time I have outside of my regular life, so user input is always appreciated (and as it is a wiki, that means anyone can help fill in the gaps I may have missed)
The lack of response to your post likely is due to the uniqueness of your project (as it involves hardware other than the pi) so its likely not many users here would know how to help considering most likely don’t have the same screen you do. I had a similar piece of hardware that a friend loaned me for a short time so perhaps my experience with that may be somewhat useful to you. You can find a somewhat detailed guide on my post here:
I hope it is useful to you.
herbfargusMemberI then ran apt-get update/upgrade
Thats different than updating the setup script
And in my former post I misspoke, rather partial support was added from a different xboxdrv repo. I don’t have the hardware to test it so I can’t verify its success rate, I’ve only perused the code.
02/04/2016 at 02:49 in reply to: Purely cosmetic question (command line appearing after Emulationstation) #116186herbfargusMemberit will always show up as it is more than just setting up which emulator each game uses, Its the whole system in how the roms are launched through emulationstation, but you can hide the runcommand text if you want to:
https://github.com/retropie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/runcommand
You’ll have to remove joy2key as well if you don’t want it popping up when you press js0 on your gamepad.
herbfargusMember4: the location is /home/pi/RetroPie/roms
herbfargusMemberRuns fine for me but I don’t do much with it. Openelec is built for kodi so it will likely be more stable and have more functions than the retropie build.
herbfargusMemberThis video shows an easy way of switching your keyboard.
herbfargusMemberIgnore that one its outdated. Follow this link (assuming you’re on wheezy) if you’re on Jessie (which is what retropie 3.4 is based on it already has kodi 15:
https://github.com/retropie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/KODI#kodi-15
herbfargusMemberIt could be your SD card as well. Try removing the overclocking and see if it still freezes
herbfargusMemberAre you overclocking your pi?
herbfargusMemberRaspi2png or retroarch also has a screenshot option, some emulators do as well but controls for it vary.
herbfargusMemberI’ve been talking with the dev of bomb dodgers and he’s been recoding the game to work on 10.0 (bomberman clone)
herbfargusMemberherbfargusMemberThere are an exorbitant amount of changes on the recalbox build of emulationstation and doesn’t have the integrated controls retropie has. Music would have to be added to retropie’s emulationstation fork if you want it to work with retropie.
02/02/2016 at 17:17 in reply to: Getting Raspbian after installing Retropie 3.3 via the Image file #116044herbfargusMemberherbfargusMemberIt’s been added. It can be installed from the experimental menu after an update to the setup script
herbfargusMemberherbfargusMemberI guess there isn’t a tab configuration for keyboard configs. Pity.
It is possible there are some config issues in my script that may be causing issues.
herbfargusMemberTab doesn’t let you reconfigure it? I usually just mash the key until a “.” Shows up
Has a tendency to change my screen layout in the process as I think that’s what the full stop key is coded to. I wonder where the configs are set for the keyboard. Maybe compiled in.
herbfargusMemberBy normal do you mean US? The BBC is British mate so to the BBC micro, UK layout is normal ;)
But yes needs lot of config coding (mess is a mess) its on my list, perhaps I’ll get to it one of these days.
herbfargusMemberOn windows you can prntscrn and then paste Into Ginp or something equivalent or if it doesn’t show in full screen you can start emulationstation in a windowed mode.
