If you’re overclocking it can cause freezing.
herbfargusMemberMake the hotkey button nul or remove it.
herbfargusMemberThis is the first spam we’ve had in a long while. Guess you just got lucky with your timing. We’re going to be getting a new forum at some point in the future anyhow.
herbfargusMemberSo delete the contents of the noobs image manually first.
herbfargusMemberSo delete the contents of the noobs image manually first.
herbfargusMemberI’d think better of you if you did something to improve RetroPie rather than take from our work for your personal interest.
herbfargusMemberThat’s rubbish. The only reason people buy from you is because of RetroPie. It’s a low thing to do.
It would be nice if people would actually contribute to the betterment of the project rather than seeking to make a profit off of other people’s work.
herbfargusMemberjust follow the link above, its pretty self explanatory.
herbfargusMemberIf you own the games, you can technically download the image files from the internet. You’re allowed to possess backups of games you physically own :)
That’s not true. it’s illegal to download any copyrighted image files off of the internet regardless of if you own it or not, and according to many of the video game companies its also illegal to subvert DRM etc. to make dumps of discs etc. Just because everyone does it, it doesn’t make it legal.
that being said, you can use something like imgburn or other disk burning utilities to create bin and cue files. I’m not sure RetroPie is the best forum for learning how to burn mega CD’s, I’d be willing to bet with a little googling you could find a site that has tutorials on it that are more tailored specifically to your goals.
herbfargusMemberSo remove all the systems except mame in emulationstation.
herbfargusMemberIdk depends on the controller, depends on the game.
See this page for more info:
herbfargusMemberHow about you provide your own support if you’re going to be making a profit off of it.
herbfargusMemberherbfargusMemberYes that would be ideal I would think. At the very least would be worth even just adding a default config to the installer with the ibuffallo, ps3, and Xbox 360 configs. Might be a bit down the road though as there are more pressing matters to attend to currently.
herbfargusMemberMake a duplicate of the es_systems.cfg, order your systems, and place it in /home/pi/.emulationstation and it won’t be overwritten on updates. Just delete or move the Dreamcast romfolder if you aren’t going to use it.
herbfargusMemberIt’s still in the experimental section, so be patient. There are plans for a wad selector so it will be easier to select games and cores from the runcommand menu (as realistically wads should all be In the same place so that people can choose pr-boom or zdoom depending on their preferences), but there are other priorities at the moment before those will be implemented. And the SDL library downgrade is intentional as there are some unresolved bugs with the current SDL that was shipped with 3.6.
herbfargusMemberIf you’re so intelligent then provide support yourself. Clearly you are not as you are here demanding assistance: which as noted above by the ungrateful childish tone will get you none. Keep your odroid.
herbfargusMemberNo worries, your contributions are appreciated :) With all the stuff that’s been added lately i’d like the wiki as consolidated as possible just so its simpler for those that use it.
herbfargusMember@dizney46 start your own topic for new issues. And read up on what berryboot is before you try to install it.
Download the standard image and follow this page:
https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/First-Installation
herbfargusMemberZdoom goes under the doom page (as you’ll note there is already a link to the source code on that page.) No need to have it be its own page as its just another one of he many engines that runs the same software.
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Doom
Feel free to add another heading specific to zdoom configurations lower down on the page.
herbfargusMemberJust use binaries. Quicker and more stable. It’s rarely necessary to update from source unless there is something very specific that you need that the source offers that binaries don’t. Binaries are updated typically when there are any changes of consequence.
herbfargusMemberYou can also disable it through the config editor.

03/18/2016 at 07:45 in reply to: A guide for adding xbmc with working wireless 360 to RetroPie. #120749herbfargusMemberMake a backup of the current script in
/home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/scriptmodules/ports/kodi.sh
And then replace the contents of the file with the module on the wiki. You’ll have to do it through putty or through winscp as root (which you first have to enable: see https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/FAQ#why-cant-i-ssh-as-root-anymore)
Then you can install kodi from the experimental menu of the setup script. Note that directlaunch breaks theme switching and you’ll have to git stash your changes if you ever do an update.
herbfargusMemberNo way I’ve ever heard of. Even if it were possible the overhead would more than likely be too much for the processing of the pi to handle.
herbfargusMemberUse chrome or Firefox. Internet explorer should never be used.
Use the standard image.
03/18/2016 at 02:56 in reply to: A guide for adding xbmc with working wireless 360 to RetroPie. #120731herbfargusMemberVideo is wayyyy outdated. Wouldn’t follow it. Wiki has a module for installing Kodi 16 which has joypad support compiled in along with installing it as its own system.

Sselphs scraper has the option to clean romnames
03/17/2016 at 23:33 in reply to: Retropie 3.6 – blinking lights on wireless Xbox 360 controller #120717herbfargusMemberRemove the .bin extension from your es_systems.cfg
herbfargusMemberKnown issue:
herbfargusMemberWell for starters an older kernel (3.17 ish) graphics drivers don’t always play nice, among other things. You can get things working no doubt but not worth the headache imo. Get yourself an odroid and try the same things on a pi and let me know how you fare ;)
herbfargusMemberSoftware support on odroid is rubbish and devs don’t have that board so I wouldn’t hold your breath. No amount of RAM can make up for shoddy software and community support. There is already partial support for the odroid boards anyhow.
https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Odroid
You can also try lakka as they provide the same functionality. RetroPie will never emulate anything more than retroarch emulators on odroid anyways.
herbfargusMemberYeah that explains it. Problem is dependencies for omxplayer aren’t being met before its called to run resulting in a dbus error. Putting a sleep parametre on omxplayer is a simple workaround for it at least until logic in the code is improved.
