MemberAlright here you are:
<?xml version="1.0"?> <inputList> <inputAction type="onfinish"> <command>/opt/retropie/supplementary/emulationstation/scripts/inputconfiguration.sh</command> </inputAction> <inputConfig type="joystick" deviceName="Logitech Gamepad F310"> <input name="pagedown" type="button" id="5" value="1"/> <input name="start" type="button" id="7" value="1"/> <input name="pageup" type="button" id="4" value="1"/> <input name="up" type="hat" id="0" value="1"/> <input name="a" type="button" id="1" value="1"/> <input name="b" type="button" id="0" value="1"/> <input name="down" type="hat" id="0" value="4"/> <input name="right" type="hat" id="0" value="2"/> <input name="select" type="button" id="6" value="1"/> <input name="left" type="hat" id="0" value="8"/> </inputConfig> </inputList>
But yes I usually prefer to start from a fresh image (also just as a side note, in the future when emulationstation is updated from the script it should be generated automatically if its missing https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/commit/1bafde93d96820d8219ad1512e32eed3ffde24c8 )

Should be no need for gngeopi, lr-fba works just fine (provided you have the correct romsets and bios)
herbfargus
MemberNo. It calls input configuration.sh anytime controllers are configured in emulationstation. there should be a es_input.cfg.bak file that may still have it, if not when I have access to my pi later I’ll post my config. Also just out of curiosity did you start from a fresh image or did you upgrade from a previous version? That may also explain some of the inconsistencies
you’ve been having if you upgraded.(Though if you followed my video I show how to build the retroarch autoconfig file manually which accomplishes the same thing the script does)
herbfargus
MemberDid you end up removing the input configuration line that I said to keep in? If so, That’s why it wasn’t configured for each system.
herbfargus
MemberIn /etc/emulationstation or /home/pi/.emulationstation there’s a file called es_input.cfg I believe. You can delete the old configs on there so that when it reboots it will ask you to configure your controller again (leave the first line that calls the input configuration.sh as that calls the scripts that configure retroarch configs. ) do you not have a keyboard to work with?
herbfargus
MemberOn the back of your gamepad is it switched to direct input or xinput? Xinput is the only setting that works. Dinput doesn’t even register which may explain your issue.

MemberI think it looks great :)
herbfargus
MemberDid you update your setup script first before using it?
herbfargus
MemberIt says it needs a decryption key to download
herbfargus
Membersupport was just added. update your setup script first.

MemberPossibly bad source of roms or possible wrong choice of cartridge in the settings

MemberPress start and you can disable the sound from that menu in emulationstation.

Memberthe other thing it might be in the rgui is the custom viewport. floob has made a good video on the rgui:
herbfargus
Memberhttps://github.com/retropie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Configuration-Editor should be fullscreenx and fullscreen y i believe

MemberI’ll update the github repo once you release as well. Kodi is treated just like any other system (granted it needs to be installed manually to be used but there are scripts to do that on the wiki)
herbfargus
Membertry putting the bios in the rom folder as well as the bios folder just to cover all basis. and leave them as .col and just add .col to es_systems.config.
Still don’t know if it will work though as the port to the pi may have only ported the arcade portion of the emulator.

MemberResolution can probably just be added In the notes. It’s also mentioned on the main wiki page that performance will always be better at a lower resolution.

Memberherbfargus
Memberthere are hundreds of different controllers. people cant help you without more details.
herbfargus
Memberthe only thing I can think of is changing the number in this line
or changing the resolution of your video. not really sure though
herbfargus
MemberHow many systems have you tested this theme with? any chance of a white screen?
herbfargus
Memberyeah the omxplayer layer thing seems to have some issues that still need to be worked out… works well on some videos, not so much on some others. Boot videos aren’t super high on the development priority list right now with working on Jessie, but it is something I’ll look into once I have some time to see if I can figure out some solutions.
I don’t know what to tell you on the wifi though. other than whats on the wiki I don’t have any idea.
herbfargus
MemberThat’s your problem: I guess my change wasn’t included for some reason as it should have been. You’ll delete the lines listed here on the first file:
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/commit/67c27315832a88817f8e27685c3b2015b1df4fed
Or alternatively update your setup script, disable autostart and enable it again.
For the wifi: pro tip- don’t give your ssid and psk on the internet. I’d recommend deleting your posted picture .
Might be a conflict between wpa-supplicant.conf possibly. The splashscreen should not affect the wifi.
You could try some stuff on this page:
https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=23344
But I haven’t the foggiest.

MemberBusy with uni and holiday, and I’m right back into uni as of this week. But I’ll get your theme up :)
herbfargus
MemberDid you upgrade from a previous version or start from a fresh image?
Whats the output of /etc/profile.d/10-emulationstation.sh
herbfargus
MemberMake your video longer. Also make sure you’re running the latest retropie as it was only a recent change. There also may be potential nuances with your video resolution and Jessie.
herbfargus
MemberLooks brilliant mate. Are you going to put this on github for the theme Installer?
I’d be happy to do it if you don’t want to
herbfargus
MemberSupposedly final burn alpha also emulates the colecovision but I don’t how much support it has for it with the rpi port. Lr-bluemsx also supports it (but doesn’t have controller support yet)
