The new forum has a better search function :)
herbfargusMemberherbfargusMemberdid you enable save settings on exit? your best bet is to set your configs manually
https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/RetroArch-Configuration
herbfargusMemberYou can, but emulationstation is coded to adapt with SVGs. I.e. when. You switch between systems, the system you are currently on will grow whereas with pngs it stays the same size and looks more static. Pngs may also be larger in filesize potentially. My preference is for svgs but you can do whatever you prefer.
herbfargusMemberFor them lately? Yes.
herbfargusMemberWe have nothing to do with thegamesdb. Take it up with them.
herbfargusMemberIt’s already been added to carbon.
https://github.com/RetroPie/es-theme-carbon/commit/85c54e10dd514b7c96f4777458de16ec7f438bbf
herbfargusMemberMaking a warning go away isn’t going to make the database it pulls from go back online. You read the error correctly. Thegamesdb is down. Use ovgb or wait.
herbfargusMemberBecause the ganelist.xml files aren’t kept in your rom folders.
herbfargusMemberIt’s picky about how you save and draw your svgs. Typically with inkscape I have to convert strokes to paths and a few other things. Just trial and error really.
herbfargusMemberYou just have to wait until they are back up again.

It might need that too possibly. It worked when I tested it a while ago but it’s possible things may have changed since then. Note that it is in Experimental for a reason ;) and until upstream is sorted there’s not much we can do to fix it.

Try reinstalling as well if the above doesnt work.

to your system specific config04/01/2016 at 08:15 in reply to: A guide for adding xbmc with working wireless 360 to RetroPie. #122145herbfargusMemberYou need to view hidden folders. A folder with a
.
in front of it means it’s hidden. You may need to open kodi once and exit it or you may have to refresh your page if you’re on winscp.
herbfargusMemberyou can always try rebooting. When you type your password it adds it to wpa_supplicant.conf even if it doesnt connect right away. the script refreshes the network once you put in your password so sometimes it takes some time to connect. reconnecting the network service can be a tad buggy but if you reboot it usually loads up fine.
herbfargusMemberforce the resolution to be lower on hdmi and you’ll see performance is the same:
herbfargusMemberherbfargusMemberTry it and see. RetroPie was designed for the pi though- odroid support will never be as good, as the odroid’s software and community isn’t as good as the pi. You may want to look into lakka as well.

03/29/2016 at 19:50 in reply to: Adding scrapers to ES source? Questions (Was Hey Jools,,,,) #121866herbfargusMemberPerhaps you should submit a request to sselph to improve his scraper as he pulls from the same source- he just does a better job. You could even help him add the hashes for the games.

03/29/2016 at 09:06 in reply to: A guide for adding xbmc with working wireless 360 to RetroPie. #121801herbfargusMemberSome things have changed, I just barely updated the wiki page. From your fresh install: update your setup script first, then replace the kodi file and try installing it again. It will show up in the ports menu after being installed.
herbfargusMemberAlso try enabling usbromservice from the RetroPie setup script
herbfargusMemberIt actually does change as people change systems on recalbox. But yeah I think it’s just a novelty. I’d rather play games than listen to music.
herbfargusMemberNope. Use recalbox if you want music.
herbfargusMemberDoesn’t build for the pi.
herbfargusMemberherbfargusMemberAs far as I’m concerned if people are gullible enough to believe that stuff, they shouldn’t be on the internet.
herbfargusMemberNo need for an HDMI adapter, get a 4 pole RCA cable and see if that fixes your video issues with your crt. I don’t know about any of the other issues though as I just use hdmi
