I fear bluetooth pairing does not work if ps3 driver is installed. Disable sixad with “sudo service sixad stop” and try to pair again.
gizmo98Participant@mrco123
Could you test something for me? Remove your rc.local changes. Update RetroPie-Setup and reinstall PS3 controller driver with “clone support”.gizmo98ParticipantYes, exactly. PS3 driver is not installed by default. Once you have installed the driver it is no longer necessary to go into the RetroPie setup menu. If a ps3 controller usb “connect” is detected at runtime sixpair will be executed.
I have modified the setup script today a little bit. So if your controller is usb connected at driver installation time sixpair will run and configure your connected controller (like in retropie < 3.1).
gizmo98Participant@redfarmer
If you connect at runtime sixpair runs without user interaction. Sixpair configures your controller. This takes one second. After this second your controller should be ready for pairing. Remove USB cable and press PS button.As i said if your controller is configured it is not necessary to connect over usb and run sixpair again. Configuration persists.
gizmo98ParticipantIf your keyboard connection breaks up if you type “sudo service bluetooth stop” ps3 driver is the problem.
gizmo98Participant@all of you
Was the controller connected at boot up? sixpair runs if you connect your controller “at runtime” (in emulationstaion for example) and the controller should be instantly ready afterwards. If your controller is connected at boot time sixpair does not run.Sixpair is necessary to write the mac address of your bt dongle to the controller once. The controller should always pair afterwards.
gizmo98ParticipantRemove configs/driver (no.2) before you install.
gizmo98ParticipantGood to here it is running! Gasia hack + led support is broken at the moment and i don’t know if it can be fixed.
gizmo98ParticipantSixad daemon stops bluetooth daemon. It’s supposed to happen.
gizmo98Participant@slayer
My fault. You need to checkout another branch. Please try…mkdir test cd test git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/gizmo98/RetroPie-Setup.git cd RetroPie-Setup git pull git checkout ps3-gasia-hack sudo ./retropie_setup.sh
gizmo98ParticipantI don’t know if mupen64plus “standalone” supports zip files. Please unzip file and report again.
gizmo98ParticipantYou can try this ps3controller module:
https://github.com/gizmo98/RetroPie-Setup/blob/ps3-gasia-hack/scriptmodules/supplementary/ps3controller.shOr type…
mkdir test cd test git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/gizmo98/RetroPie-Setup.git cd RetroPie-Setup sudo ./retropie_setup.sh
…and (re)install ps3controller
gizmo98ParticipantThank you davej!
I have added your zip file to our shader repo. If retroarch is installed/updated from source all new shaders will be fetched. So everyone can test these shaders easily.
https://github.com/gizmo98/common-shaders/commit/7097eb6b093dc0c7722a988553d741f30b45d4fcgizmo98ParticipantIf your iPazzPort Keyboard is connected over bluetooth the ps3controller driver “sixad” certainly interrupts this connection. sixad disables bluetooth daemon. If you need ps3controllers and other bluetooth devices at the same time sixad must be replaced with a newer bluetooth daemon which has sixaxis support (there is no install script up to now).
gizmo98Participant@miahotrod
No problem there. sixad daemon disables bluetooth daemon. Take a look into the sixad daemon script (bt_start_and_stop). I suppose bluetoothd and sixad cannot run at the same time.
@redfarmer
What happens if you uninstall joy2key?gizmo98ParticipantHave you already disabled threaded video?
gizmo98ParticipantDid you setup keyboard as input device? Otherwise only button F4 is working.
gizmo98Participant@LodanZark
Update retroarch. There is a gameboy shader in the main shader directory now.gizmo98ParticipantI will post something if it is running.
gizmo98ParticipantJust out of interest. Where can i buy this ps3 controller clone?
gizmo98ParticipantThere is an qtsixad package with gasia support on github. Default qtsixad does not seem to work with gasia clones.
https://github.com/falkTX/qtsixagizmo98ParticipantPairing a second controller should be easy. Start your pi. Wait until emulationstation appears. Connect second controller over usb. Wait some seconds. The controller should be configured now. Disconnect and press PS button.
If this does not work please do the following steps. There was a small modification short after 3.2 release. Please press “F4” and type:
cd RetroPie-Setup git pull sudo ./retropie_setup.sh
Remove and install driver again.
gizmo98ParticipantUpdate retropie-setup and reinstall ps3 driver. There is a multiple ps3 controller fix now.
gizmo98ParticipantI would update retropie. RetroPie 3.2.1 has more mupen64plus options and a better video plugin.
gizmo98Participant@lucklocky
mupen64plus was broken in retropie sd card image 3.1. Reinstall (binary or source).@saucy
I think you do not pass all necessary parameters.
Example:
mupen64plus –noosd –fullscreen –gfx mupen64plus-video-n64.so –configdir /opt/retropie/configs/n64 –datadir /opt/retropie/configs/n64 %ROM%”Please take a look here:
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/blob/master/scriptmodules/emulators/mupen64plus.sh#L170gizmo98ParticipantTry to install from source again. It should not segfault.
gizmo98ParticipantOpen /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg and remove
input_player1_analog_dpad_mode = 1
input_player2_analog_dpad_mode = 1
input_player3_analog_dpad_mode = 1
input_player4_analog_dpad_mode = 1
input_player5_analog_dpad_mode = 1
input_player6_analog_dpad_mode = 1
input_player7_analog_dpad_mode = 1
input_player8_analog_dpad_mode = 1gizmo98ParticipantWhy are you using sixad-bin and stop start sixad? If you have installed ps3 controller driver over RetroPie-Setup just connect your controller over usb, wait some seconds, disconnect and press PS button. Controller should connect over bluetooth now.
gizmo98ParticipantButton X opens search box. Button A or B closes search box. Our old ‘kill search box’ fix does not work anymore. But it should be possible to close this annoying field with controller now.
gizmo98ParticipantLooks like a PS3 controller clone!? Try to install ps3controller module. And if it is working please post your controller config files (/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads).
gizmo98ParticipantThe non retroarch version supports two buttons for exit now. Syntax is “J#B#/B#”.
If you are brave enough you can try this:
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/issues/1061gizmo98ParticipantIf ingame save and load does not work use “select+R” to save a state and “select+L” to load a state.
gizmo98ParticipantWhat’s happening here? Just wanted to tell you were it comes from ?. Didn’t know you already know the difference. In my opinion glide and gliden64 naming can be confusing.
And thank you for your feedback! ?
gizmo98ParticipantIt’s called GLideN64. It’s from the programmer of the original Glide plugin but it’s based on the glN64 (glesn64) plugin. ;-)
gizmo98ParticipantDo you have a 8bitdo NES30 or NES30PRO controller?
