Nice to know. I thought that the resistor had to be a specific value to work.
Ill try this as soon as posible :)
One thing Im still worried about is the code described on the later pages. Is it plug and play or do i have to rewrite parts og it?
My knowledge on code is very basic and i usually just copy and paste what i need. I have only tried to tweek the layout in the different emulators.

I have been playing around with some files but havent found any way to get the controller to work. The emulator does not see the controller at all. I have been thinking about just deleting the n64 Roms and foget about it..

gentlemanfinnParticipantI removed everything exept the cover picture.. What i did was to go inside every emulators theme file and replase the y value with 2.. I really dont know where i sent it, but it is not showing anywhere on my screen anymore :)
gentlemanfinnParticipantEverything worked as i wanted. Tanks again!
gentlemanfinnParticipantIll look in to that later today. Thanks:)
gentlemanfinnParticipantI dont see how it is connected to my questions.. Would it be posible for you to ask this in another topic?
gentlemanfinnParticipantI have browsed the website you mentioned and have found it to be usefull. I havent downloaded anything yet, but it is looking promising :)
If i ever find a way to do the music i would be very pleased..
gentlemanfinnParticipantanother picture
gentlemanfinnParticipantHey everybody I have some good news!
I have found what I was looking for..
In the pictures you can see where im going. By mistake I maneged to remove the gametitles, but i have afterwards restored them (the grey box is just big enough to have the games title and the highlightbox inside). As you can see i am missing the footer, but that have been restored too.
The picture of zelda is just one i have found for this experiment.
This is rough and far from done, but what do you think?
gentlemanfinnParticipantI have maneged to replace the images using method 1, but the i get an error when closing emulationstation. It is something like “lvl10 cant save to gamelist.xml…”
when trying this method I didnt alter the path to the images, but instead just overwote the existing image in the download folder. When I try to use method 2 the pictures isent showing, but the interfase acts like they are there..
Edit: Did a new scrape and used method 1. I have now replaced most og my snes covers with higher resolution images and am happy with this solution.
I have a new question:
Is it posible to replace the grey background when browsing games in an emulator with an image?
gentlemanfinnParticipantI own Photoshop. It shouldent be a problem:)
I have startet experimenting and hope for the best. Right now i am using a with og 700px. It may be to large but then i can just try a smaller size.
Thanks for all the help:)
gentlemanfinnParticipantYou was quicker than my edit! Thanks. That is much better then what i had in mind. I like how you can personalize the experince on the pi!
By the way when i searched the forum I found a video that said the pi cant handle too large picrures.. I have a pi 2 – is it better suited to handle the larger pictures?
Edit: I am the king og edits btw :)
How do i get rid og the old scraping files? Is it just to delete some files or do the manual scraping take control?
gentlemanfinnParticipantI would love to scarpe my own images.. I dont understand how I do it tho.
By the way I am probably not going to use covers, but .PNG files of ingame stuff.
Would it be posible to guide me through the process?
Edit: I used my brain and searched the forum. I think I can do what i want now thanks!
Now to solve the music dilemma :9
03/24/2015 at 18:43 in reply to: Pi2 full compatibility with emulation of fifth-generation consoles? #92489gentlemanfinnParticipantThis may be a stupid question, but did you chance the ram size?
gentlemanfinnParticipantI actually like it better as it is now. I have maneged to make the pictures bigger. I have also played around with the console titles.. Instead og having the logo AND the name og the console in the top I have moved the logo in to the middle :)
gentlemanfinnParticipantHey. Just registered to write here.. I copypasted your work over and everything seemed right, but i noticed that the games infotext is still showing in the options bar at the botten. What i am trying to say is that the text is the right coller, but it is showing in the lighter optionsbar at the bottom.
Do you know how to fix this? I imagine that it is a question about the placement of the text.
Ps. I did this for other emulators and found it worked all around. I just had to change the emulator names in the last lage text.
Edit: I have found a solution, but it is not perfect..
In
/etc/emulationstation/themes/simple/simple.xml
I have changed the “footer” from true to false:
<image name=”footer” extra=”false”>
<pos>0 1</pos>
<origin>0 1</origin>
<size>1 0.065</size>
<path>./art/bright.png</path>i can still see the “press that to do that”, but i just dont have the lighter coller in the bottom anymore.
