ParticipantOff the top of my head I’m using Retropie 3.0 beta 2.
Games such as The Punisher and Final Fight.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantI can’t seem to get some games full screen in both, do you change anything to force full screen?
g0nz0uk
ParticipantSounds like we should choose both depending on how the game runs.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantWhere is the location of the settings for these 2 emulators?
Thanks
g0nz0uk
ParticipantThanks, I’ve heard sometimes USB is a little slower at responding. Would be good to know what emulators the ControlBlock has been tested on (2 player).
g0nz0uk
ParticipantSo what is the difference between this and a ipac2?
Looks good btw, anyone tested it with 2 joysticks in mame?
g0nz0uk
ParticipantNo, wait in that menu section?
I was thinking more if you are in a game and you need to turn it up or down, I guess I need an amp?
g0nz0uk
Participantg0nz0uk
ParticipantHmm that didn’t change anything either.
The Punisher (what a game btw) has a black border on the top and bottom.
Ghost n Goblins has black borders on the left and right but are ok on the top and bottom.g0nz0uk
ParticipantThank you so much.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantYes it is set to display_border=0
Too much to configure in /boot/config.txt I’m not sure where to start, do I need to focus on the HDMI parts only, eventhough my monitor is DVI?
Thanks

ParticipantDont’t run the updats within the advance menu. Formatted my SD card and started again all works.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantI’m using mame4all Floob. Not sure which is best to be honest.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantThanks I’m OK adding mame ROMs, but where do I add the CP’s ROMs?
g0nz0uk
ParticipantHave you had to solder much too?
g0nz0uk
Participantwhere did you get it from, thanks so much for the video!
g0nz0uk
ParticipantChillimonster, where did you get that black/grey side wall paper from?
g0nz0uk
ParticipantSo are you using these female jacks for your LED and Sound? Got a pick of this connection, just wondered what DC’s you buy for this?
Also on your Tron Arcade which is amazing, where did you by the graphite wallpaper and how did you stick it on?
I want a black arcade that with with illuminated buttons with an operation wolf marquee lol.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantAs I’m not not that clued up with electrical wiring the bit I’m missing is how you actually wire the sound and led into the psu, I presume the led strip and sound bar are wired into a electric board first which has a power source to the extension lead?
I think I like the sound of using cut plexiglass for a flush finish and spray black the unused areas to hide the back. I think my monitor can take a wall bracket to hold in the cabinet.
Do you have an easy method to access under the controls?
I know this is a retropie forum so I’m not sure if there is a bartop forum you guys use. Apologies for so many questions.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantGreat work there, what is the black pattern you have put on, is it glued on?
Where do you power your led marquee from?
I need an inventory list of you so I know what to buy :)
Professional job mate.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantAlso I see most use plexi glass to cover the monitor, what is used to hide/surround the glass to mask off seeing behind and into the bartop cabinet?
g0nz0uk
ParticipantHi Phrazelle, you got a pick of this wall-wart psu setup?
Thanks
g0nz0uk
ParticipantPhrazelle, so are you using a PC ATX PSU? I don’t want to use one of those as they make noise, I wonder how others do it?
g0nz0uk
ParticipantThanks a million, that URL did the trick I had one line slightly wrong.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantI will take a look at the configuration file once located, what is and action/retro reply ROM?
Thanks
g0nz0uk
ParticipantI’m not had to do this on other c64 emulators, load times are very fast and automatically done, I’m sure of it?
g0nz0uk
ParticipantHello,
Sorry I’m new to this world, can you explain that a bit more as I don’t understand?
Many thanks
g0nz0uk
ParticipantHi Chillimonster,
Where is this config file I can edit please for disable_audio_dither=1?
Thanks
g0nz0uk
ParticipantThought I’d replied to this.
Many thanks for the video Chillimonster, what a legend.
I’ve send you a private message too.
ALso is it me or is the sound quality quite back on the pi? Lots of background noise.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantGreat thanks, I understand now.
Go the Amiga working, but there is no way of escaping the game, I have to power off/on the pi.
And the C64, starts to load any game I try then stops.
I’m sure it’s something simple.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantThanks for the info. I think I’m confused with this protoboard. I will have an extension lead in the back to power the pi and monitor, as you say the controls can be all power by the pi. I guess the speakers can be plugged into an extension lead? So it just leaves powering the led strip.
I’m not using a pc mobo or psu (I hope) as they are too noisy.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantYeah good point, I have a small budget and it won’t leave the house.
I need to have patience too (excited) as I want it all now, but rushing is when things go wrong.
g0nz0uk
ParticipantThanks for that detailed reply, did the joysticks that Arcade USB kit have on ebay make any annoying “click” sounds when push arround, I noticed on some youtube videos their joysticks clicked in every direction when playing games. So these uses one congtroller for both players? Why do some use the ipac2 and others the usb method?
I like your link, saw these too.
What did you use to cover the monitor, plastic or glass?
How did you power the led strips and install a dimmer, very smart idea!
g0nz0uk
Participant2 player games will be a must so you think the ipac-2 with the pi 2 is best?
g0nz0uk
ParticipantThanks for the tips! I’m many weeks away to getting anywhere near any of this so I will post back if that is ok.
My Pi 2 comes tomorrow so I will play with that for a while with my old 19inch monitor, IT is my job, building arcades isn’t :)
Sorry for the dumb question, but what do you mean by trim the barbs off and inch?
Got any screenshots on how the led strip is wired into a PSU? I guess I will have an extension lead in the back with the monitor and pi 2 attached.
Where does the joystick and illuminated buttons get their power from?
Damn I’m excited. This is what I may get http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BARTOP-ARCADE-MACHINE-2-PLAYER-DIY-FLAT-PACK-KIT-18MM-MDF-WITH-T-MOLD-SLOTS-/161640792425?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item25a28ac169
