The problem with BerryBoot is, that it actually mounts the operating system(s) as IMG-files, and stores all the changes in a seperate part of the sd-card.
Therefore you can’t change the /boot/ folder of your operating systems.BUT: you can however modify memory split through the GUI of BerryBoot! If you can figure out where this information is stored, you can probably add the neccessary lines for overclocking there too!
fonzmanParticipantsame problem here.
after changing these lines in /boot/config.txthdmi_group = 1 hdmi_mode = 1
I got normal fonts and images back in emulationstation. However, with these settings my Pi is running in VGA-mode and presents an ugly low-res version of emulationstation.
Changing hdmi_mode to something else doesn’t help – then the gibberish and missing images are back :-(I reinstalled emulationstation from sources, but that didn’t help either.
any idea, what could cause this? It appeared after I moved a lot of files over via WinSCP, and afterwards deleted some files through the same method. I also edited one or two files through WinSCP’s editor.
EDIT:
hmmm .. after changing
hdmi_mode = 4
(which equals 720p)
and rebooting 2 or 3 times, fonts and missing images are normal again! very strange, but I am glad its fine again ..fonzmanParticipantCan’t get my joypad to work with the Duke.
you must check the joystick check-box under the configuration tab of the Eduke32 pre-game setup
funny .. where exactly is this “configuration tab … pre-game setup”?!? Has anyone a step-by-step guide how to enable the joystick in eduke32?
fonzmanParticipantYes, its working!
Thanks for all the suggestions.
For future reference: the only cfg-files that matter are in ‘/opt/retropie/configs’
In my case I added the two lines to ‘/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg’(My ‘/home/pi/RetroPie/configs/retroarch.cfg’ was simply ignored)
I also set ‘input_enable_hotkey = tab’
(Perhaps that triggered the ‘input_enable_hotkey_btn’ to work … I don’t know)fonzmanParticipantI want to press “select + L3” to exit the emulator.
however, it already exits if I only press L3.I created the configs using the “Configure RetroArch controller” option in the retropie-setup menu, and afterwards inserted the two lines for input_enable_hotkey_btn and input_exit_emulator_btn.
If I open the RetroArch menu inside an emulator (by pressing F1), I see both assigned buttons with the word “auto” in front (because it takes the settings from /opt/retropie/emulators/RetroArch/configs ).
fonzmanParticipantThe cfg-files created by ‘register retroarch controller’ in the ‘retropie setup’ are written to ‘/opt/retropie/emulators/RetroArch/configs’
