What error do you receive when you try to run the games?
Have you tried a different SD card?
http://elinux.org/RPi_SD_cardsFloobMemberWhen you are logged in to the Pi try
cd /boot sudo nano config.txt
FloobMemberI’ve put a basic video together of where config files are.
I think you can set a per controller setup for RetroArch usage using the config files shown very near the end of the video:FloobMemberAt 4:40 in the video the path is:
/opt/retropie/emulators/RetroArch/configsDo an ‘ls’ in that directory, then you should see the USBGamepad.cfg file which you can edit.
FloobMemberAnd one more
FloobMemberWould be great if it could support the Megadrive as well.
Maybe it could start by outputting if it could connect to thegamesdb, as earlier it confused me when it couldnt get the data.
FloobMemberLooks like a great script, thanks very much.
I put a basic video together for it here. Let me know if I should add anything to it.FloobMemberDoes the retroarch USB process in the video complete as shown?
In the video at 03:28 it confirms what the filename is – what does yours say?10/18/2014 at 01:46 in reply to: Display games in their native aspect (disable full screen scaling) #81855FloobMemberCan you use the TV’s aspect ratio control?
You can set the composite video output ratio here:
http://elinux.org/RPiconfig#Video_mode_optionsFloobMemberThis may help:
FloobMemberHere is another option:
FloobMemberHi,
My directory structure may be a bit off there. When you are in that /home/pi directory, try “cd RetroPie-Setup” then try running sudo ./retropie_setup.sh
FloobMemberYou could try this:
FloobMemberThanks, I should have realised I shouldnt have them zipped.
I now have this error appearing

FloobMemberHi,
I just gave that a go in this dir:
/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/gbaI ran it with this (using the rpi scraper version here: https://github.com/sselph/scraper/releases):
./scraper -thumb_onlyIt created a gamelist.xml with this content only:
<gameList></gameList>I imagine I’m doing something wrong, can you see what?
FloobMemberMaybe this would work for you (works with Mame and Neo Geo for proper names, and can do the images for consoles)
FloobMemberAre those duplicate names what appear when you use ES_Scraper?
FloobMemberIs that a USB controller?
Can you use the setup tool in retropie_setup.sh file?
FloobMemberThe gamelist.xml files point to where it is reading the images from.
If you type
sudo find -name “gamelist.xml” it will show you where they all are.FloobMemberMaybe you could edit the gamelist.xml to have some dummy aesthetic values to show the favourite section.
FloobMember
Anyone have PiSNES controller config for the the f310? The RetroArch SNES eumulator looked horrible on my screen(s), very blocky and lo-res. Couldn’t figure out how to get it to use the correct resolution (tried a bunch of things from the forum..)
Are you tempted to use shaders?
FloobMemberThat looks like the /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg file
FloobMemberThis thread talks about a lot of emulators configured as well:
FloobMemberYou could edit the gamelist file:
FloobMemberThe path is /home/pi/.emulationstation/gamelists/{System}/gamelist.xml
about 13:20 here:
FloobMemberWhat about just configuring it in EmulationStation GUI – so that you can navigate in the menus – does that work?
Remember that the config for ES controller and game controller is separate.
10/05/2014 at 16:30 in reply to: Anyway to use old ES Scraper with Retropie 2.3 @ Exit emu from controller #81514FloobMemberAh ok – this vid has a bit about quitting out of the retroarch emulators by adding a couple of lines to the config file
FloobMemberDoes this help? The video also shows where the default config files are.
FloobMemberThat looks like a pretty cool USB joystick!
Have you tried using the standard RetroArch USB setup in the retropie-setup script?FloobMemberIf you are trying to get a USB controller working with RetroPie, you can use the setup option in the RetroPie setup script.
FloobMember
UPDATE
I was wrong, the keys are correct but for some strange reason that combination doesn’t work with mame emulator, any hint?
Heres how you exit with MAME
FloobMemberDoes this help?
It shows how to get a USB controller working with RetroArch in RetroPie.10/03/2014 at 23:34 in reply to: Anyway to use old ES Scraper with Retropie 2.3 @ Exit emu from controller #81467FloobMemberHi,
This vid should give an alternative method of scraping images that is much quicker:
This one shows how to quit out of MAME
FloobMemberMaybe you could try deleting this file?
/opt/retropie/emulators/mame4all-pi/cfg/default.cfgOr try using mine (in the zip)?
I think thats the one that stored the data for keys.
FloobMemberYou can click ‘Enter’ and it should ask you to re-enter the key(s) that you want to use. Basic guide is here:
