Yes you can move the images, but as they are thumbnails they really dont take up much space at all.
FloobMemberI’d use the one above instead, it has a lot of benefits, not least the speed it will rip through the files.
After that, you can always edit the gamelist.xml if you want, it would be in the roms folder by default.
So, “nano /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/megadrive/gamelist.xml”FloobMemberWhich scraper are you using? The built in one, or the one from sselph?
FloobMemberWhat do you get if you try
“ls -lah /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/”FloobMemberDoes this help?
FloobMemberFloobMemberYou could check with jstest
FloobMemberIf there is just one controller plugged in, it should act as player 1 for the RetroArch based emulators.
This may help:FloobMemberCan you attach, or post on pastebin, your controller file from /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/ ?
FloobMemberCan you confirm which SNES emulator you are using?
FloobMember@haris1977
When you start your 32x game you can press x to change emulator to “lr-picodrive”.
This is the default emulator, so I guess you changed it.To fix the error you are getting with dgen, try editing this file
/opt/retropie/configs/sega32x/emulators.cfg
in that you can change
/opt/retropie/configs/all/dgenrc
to
/opt/retropie/configs/sega32x/dgenrcthen create the file in there with
cp /opt/retropie/configs/megadrive/dgenrc /opt/retropie/configs/sega32x/dgenrc
FloobMember@afjara
Install a clean RetroPie 3, then:
update the default snes emulator, “lr-snes9x-next”
Run the setup script
sudo /home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.shThen choose the “Install individual emulators from binary or source” Then (probably 231) “lr-snes9x-next”, choose from binary
Then report the exact rom and error you get.
(Dont do anything except the above steps)FloobMember@robertus Yes, and Select + R1 to load. You can have multiple save states, choose which one with Select + Left and Right on the joypad.
This may also help
08/25/2015 at 20:40 in reply to: Video guide for PS3 wireless controller on RetroPie 3 final #104710FloobMemberYou could try using the retropie menu to remove the PS3 setup, then re-install, it shouldnt make a difference, but for some reason it seems to sometimes.
Also, I find if I press the PS button as soon as the Pi is turned on it had more luck pairing than waiting a few seconds into the boot process.
FloobMemberThe above change shouldnt change that behaviour at all.
Is your PS3 controller wireless?
FloobMemberYes, thats right, the default was changed in RetroPie 3.
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/issues/933I dont seem to see much/any difference with it on or off for the PSX comparison, so I was a bit surprised that someone had an issue that was sorted by changing it.
Perhaps its one for discussion.FloobMemberYou need to update the default snes emulator, “lr-snes9x-next”
Run the setup script
sudo /home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.shThen choose the “Install individual emulators from binary or source” Then (probably 231) “lr-snes9x-next”, choose from binary
FloobMemberGlad you sorted it. :)
For reference, the difference between your settings and the default are, you had:
rewind_enable = “true”
video_smooth = “false”
video_shared_context = “true”
Lots of custom button settings for player 1 and player 2Your settings imply you arent using RetroPie 3 final, as the smooth mode is off. Unless you manually changed that.
Also, your settings saved show you already had video_threaded = “false”, so not sure why this in the psx retroarch would fix things.
But if its changed for the better then its all good :)
FloobMemberJust gave it a go on vanilla RetroPie 3, all seems good, no choppy audio on WipeOut.
Do you have a 5v 2a power supply – that can cause issues sometimes if its less than that.
Also, if you load the game, go into RGUI and select save new config, it will create a “libretro.cfg” in your /opt/retropie/configs/psx/ directory.
If you post that as an attachment or on pastebin I can compare it to the one I have to make sure it is the same.FloobMemberFor reference, this is lr-pcsx-rearmed on a Pi 2 running standard overclock.
I thought it ran pretty well, but maybe I didnt go into enough detail.
FloobMemberHi,
These 2 videos will give a start point to show what you need. The Pi 1 will emulate most systems pretty well, but would struggle with N64 and maybe PS1. SNES and Megadrive should be fine.
FloobMember@beliaaal What happens if you try to set your left trigger as the hotkey enable for lr-fba only? (in /opt/retropie/configs/fba/retroarch.cfg)
I *think* the only reason you cant get the controller to work is due to not being able to add credits or use the hotkey there – so try as above and change to something else in lr-fba.
FloobMember@crumb The link here should help
http://smartretro.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=96Inside is a link to a guide to deal with audio. I used it to get the audio tracks to be inside the bin file for Wipeout.
@summerrain As Omnija says, a cue isnt essential, its only really needed if there are embedded tracks in the bin that need to point to certain points like where audio tracks are. If you put a .bin file in your psx rom folder, ES should definitely how you that when you restart (assuming you dont put it there as root or something, the pi user needs to read it)FloobMemberWhat file extension do your roms have?
https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Playstation-1
FloobMemberHere are the paths for 2.6.0 and 3
http://smartretro.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=68Which version of RetroPie are you using?
FloobMember
Has anyone sorted this? I have exact same issue and i am using clean install of B3 RC1 and lr-fba isnt picking up my joypad but other retroarch emus are fine.
Beta 3 did have some controller issues.
Try the RetroPie 3 final that is out now.Sorry – just read you have RC1 – that should be ok, and works ok for me. Is it just the case that you cant add credits? Have you tried Rigth Shift?
FloobMemberIt sounds like you have removed files that you need, like the retroarch.cfg file, can you start a fresh with 3.0?
If you need to keep your current setup, try zipping your configs and upload as an attachment – I could probably then list the issues.zip -r /opt/retropie/configs/all/config-details.zip /opt/retropie/configs/*
That puts the zip file in the dir above which is browsable from windows.
FloobMemberDo you have the same problem if you try to configure it using Emulation Station as well as the retroarch controller menu item in the retropie script?
FloobMemberAh – that image was provided by user thorig:
https://www.petrockblock.com/community/members/thorig/I think thorig may have more info on the original versions of that.
FloobMember@blockaboots
You could run this and make the zip available so I could check your config?
zip -r /opt/retropie/configs/all/config-details.zip /opt/retropie/configs/*FloobMemberDo remember if you edit your retroarch.cfg in the “all” directory as per the screenshot it will hardcode your controller, which isnt always ideal. I wouldnt do that unless you know 1) Those settings are for your controller 2) You never intend to use a different controller.
The hotkeys are automatically added when you add your controller.
This video may help:
08/19/2015 at 20:14 in reply to: Video guide for PS3 wireless controller on RetroPie 3 final #104297FloobMember@ninjatool Yes, thats included – as you start the game/rom you get about 2 secs to press “x” which takes you to the menu to choose the default emulator for that system. The roms will go in the same folder as mame4all.
08/19/2015 at 12:02 in reply to: Video guide for PS3 wireless controller on RetroPie 3 final #104272FloobMember@ninjatool If you try lr-mame4all that should work as it would pick up retroarch settings. Thats more a controller config issue that pairing PS3 via bluetooth, so you should be good to go there.
@retroco Now you are on RetroPie 3, which *specific* emulator are you having an issue with? Do none of them work with your PS3 controller at all – does it pair as per the video? If the pairing works fine, please open a new thread and confirm which emulator isnt working for you.FloobMemberThe hotkeys will be within the Retroarch controller file.
It will be in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/(controller-filename)You can of course override them in the file you mention.
FloobMemberEdit this file
/home/pi/.emulationstation/es_input.cfgto be
<?xml version="1.0"?> <inputList> <inputAction type="onfinish"> <command>/opt/retropie/supplementary/emulationstation/scripts/inputconfiguration.sh</command> </inputAction> </inputList>
