FloobMember
Just leaving a reference:
https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/739/advancemame-bezelsFloobMemberYou can get most of it deployed using this:
https://github.com/biscuits99/rp-video-managerFloobMemberThe wiki is probably a little dated there. I’ll take a look soon and update that part for RetroPie 3.6
FloobMemberIt would basically be amending the specific config file, which would mean overwriting existing settings – so most likely to be easier done on a manual basis.
FloobMemberNope – I havent written anything yet for non-retroarch configs.
FloobMemberStreets of Rage Remake on RetroPie
Thanks to zerojayFloobMemberMaybe I need to try one of those controllers. Which firmware are you using?
Are you making the initial pair process by pressing F4 and doing it on the command line, or do you use the retropie menu in Emulation Station?
FloobMember@thank
Which controller do you have? I couldnt get this to automatically connect with a FC30 Pro or a SFC30. Maybe I should try different firmware.FloobMemberI’ve done this when using RetroPie 3.6
Wiki: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Setting-up-a-Bluetooth-controller
FloobMemberI’ve done this to connect on boot. I’ll update it when I find an easier way.
Wiki: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Setting-up-a-Bluetooth-controller
FloobMemberThis link below is working for me, and connects. This is with an FC30 Pro.
I cant get mine to connect if ES is fully loaded or not.FloobMemberHere is an overview to make sure it reconnects when using RetroPie 3.6
It didnt seem to reconnect for me in ES as it did for thak above. I had to use the method below. Assuming you are all on RetroPie 3.6FloobMemberI’m hoping to write a script for them soon. Havent got round to it yet.
This may help you in the short termFloobMemberI do this:
I’m sure there are easier/quicker ways, but it always works well for me.
FloobMemberIf you have an ethernet cable in, you should be able to connect to it with hostname “RETROPIE”. There shouldnt be any need to configure that element.
Or check out other ways here:
https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Transferring-RomsFloobMemberPut it in the bios folder. Make sure its all lowercase like this:
https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/AmigaFloobMemberWhen you try to run one and it fails, what does it say in /tmp/runcommand.log ?
FloobMemberCheck the rom compatibility list here:
https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Nintendo-64If you overclock and edit the video mode to a lower default, you get some very good performance. Check out YouTube for examples.
Here is a NON overclocked example on the Pi3.
FloobMemberHi ruckage, just let me know if you’d like these to be added to the video manager tool here:
https://github.com/biscuits99/rp-video-managerFloobMemberJust use the samba share, or FTP to get the file then copy the contents to pastebin.com
Did you watch the video from about 35:40 in?
FloobMemberPost your /all/retroarch.cfg up at pastebin.com
I’m fairly sure you need to set them to not work, otherwise the default will be active. You can see my approach here:
FloobMemberSet the values to nul
So in the config file, instead of the function being … = h update it so its … = nulFloobMemberFire up a game, and bring up RGUI with Select + X – then remap the buttons. Where does it save it to?
FloobMemberThe default would be hotkey and F8. You could use a button by using
input_screenshot_btn =You could put this in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/{controller-file}
FloobMemberIt sounded to me like they were pre-merged audio files, so potentially no cue file yet, or at least not one with pointers to audio. But yes, if you want to hide a filetype, you can do just as you say by editing the es_systems.cfg file.
FloobMemberYou can see it a bit at the end of this video, you’ll see me go into the menu and change the setting.
FloobMemberThis may help
or if you want to remap buttons
FloobMemberHave you ever had any of your snes roms working with RetroPie?
If not, try a different source for the rom.FloobMemberI believe these are the aspect_ratio_index settings
0: 4:3 1: 16:9 2: 16:10 3: 16:15 4: 1:1 5: 2:1 6: 3:2 7: 3:4 8: 4:1 9: 4:4 10: 5:4 11: 6:5 12: 7:9 13: 8:3 14: 8:7 15: 19:12 16: 19:14 17: 30:17 18: 32:9 19: config (video_aspect_ratio setting) 20: 10:9 (1:1 PAR) 21: Core Provided 22: Custom
FloobMemberThis should show how to merge them
http://www.epforums.org/showthread.php?57757-ECM-And-APE-GuideFloobMemberWhen in Emulation Station you could re-create the file by pressing Start on the controller and entering the Input controller menu.
FloobMemberDoes the same thing happen if you try a different SNES emulator?
Press your joypad button or x to bring up the emulator selection screen.FloobMemberWhen Emulation Station starts you will be prompted to press the buttons on your controller so RetroPie can write the configuration file for you.
FloobMemberThe iBuffalo USB controller is very popular. And the 8bitdo range are very good as well.
FloobMemberIt shows if you want to edit your controller configs you should use the file in here:
/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypadsAlso, when you say last version, do you mean 3.6?
