ParticipantHey Matt, can you add a speaker grill to the front of the case like in one of these pictures??
fireslayer26
ParticipantLooks great! Looking forward to the tutorial.

ParticipantVery cool! Looks great!
fireslayer26
ParticipantAlso, would you be able to put a speaker port on the back side? Like a small grill thats on the front of the old Nintendo gameboys?

Participant[quote=104870]I think it’s missing L2 ,R2 and possibly a joystick. Selling open source things is a bad idea, especially when you aren’t a contributor or developer of those projects.

Agreed

ParticipantNo, I haven’t been able to change it. I’m not experience with CAD. If you could change it to put that 5″ screen in it, that would be awesome! Also, you had mentioned before about making the walls a little thinner?
Thanks

ParticipantHey Matt,
Any chance you could adjust the CAD file to accommodate this 5″ screen??http://www.adafruit.com/product/1680
Thanks!

ParticipantAny update on this project?
fireslayer26
ParticipantLook pretty cool! Any updates? Any videos of it working?
Thanks

ParticipantInterested to see your 7″ design. Do you think you could upload some modified files with the back buttons lowered and some small slots/holes for an internal speaker?
Thanks,

Participantsudo sed -i ‘s#<textlist name=”gamelist”>#<textlist name=”gamelist”>\n\t\t\t<scrollSound>./sounds/coin.wav</scrollSound>#g’ /etc/emulationstation/themes/simple/simple.xml && sudo sed -i ‘s#.zip .ZIP##g’ /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg && sudo sed -i ‘s#<extension>#<extension>.zip .ZIP #g’ /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg

ParticipantThank you very much! I will try to change your suggestions but I have next to no experience working with 3D models like that.
fireslayer26
ParticipantGood job! Could you post your stl files? Also, how did you connect the extra 2 buttons?
Thanks,
Richardfireslayer26
ParticipantVery cool retro look! Good job!
fireslayer26
ParticipantOk thank you!
fireslayer26
ParticipantDidn’t you state in your description above that made the case 2.5cm thick but in the future you would do 2cm?
fireslayer26
ParticipantOk, thank you. I can most likely get a switch like that at RadioShack here in the states.
Also, I was able to enlarge the button holes and reduce the overall depth of the case from 2.5cm to 2cm. But I’m am having alot of trouble reducing the width of the case walls without distorting it.
fireslayer26
ParticipantGot your email, thank you! Do you remember where you got your power switch?
Thanks!
fireslayer26
ParticipantAlso, do you have a wiring schematic?
fireslayer26
ParticipantThat would be great if you could send it!
Thank you!
Any tips about the setup? Controller integration with the Pi?
fireslayer26
ParticipantVery nice! Simple and clean. I like it! What did it cost to make the case? Could you get another one?
Thanks,
