evilkittyParticipant
you can set the console specific controls in
/opt/retropie/config/nes/retroarch.cfg
you can grab my configs here
keep in mind i use snes controllers for nes
each config file has every button in it for both controllers
you are welcome to edit those configs for your 360 controllerevilkittyParticipantyou would be better off with a 360 controller for n64
snes ones don’t have enough buttons, a 360 will have 3 buttons to spareis it running through retroarch? if so i have configs for that (these are the ones i use on my linux desktop/laptop, they dont include specal performance options to run under the rpi that are in the stock configs)
i attached my controller configs
i use snestap for snes (you will need to update your core for multitap to work) (player 3/4 use 360 controller)
i use snes for gb, gb, gba, nes
i use ps1 for psx (360 controller)
i use n64 for n64 (360 controller)
i use atari for atari 2600
i use sega for segacd, gega32x. megadrive, mastersystemevilkittyParticipantI’m using these

Atari 2600i’ll try to edit this tomorrow and attach my controller configs
evilkittyParticipant1. congrats on getting it to run at all, was there a new release of retropi that works with n64, do you have the older version, or did you fix the issue somehow?
2. i was setting retroarch+mupen64plus up on a older (~2009 intel) pc the other day it lagged a little on ssb and horribly on manjora’s mask in movie scenes, like 1fps bad
i somehow managed to get to to 100% speed, i altered a resolution setting in retroarch (was 1920×1080 set to 1024×768) i also changed a quality (accuracy) setting to low and upgraded the linux kernel to the latest 3.17 kernel, base install was ubuntu 14.04
those settings are under core options -
