So take the SD card out of the Pi put it in my computer and copy a image of it? Is there a particular program I should use to do that? I didnt think anything on Windows would even recognize the SD card as its a different OS, so this is cool!
electromaster64ParticipantOk I will try updating the individual emulators after updating setup script. What is the best way to backup everything?
electromaster64ParticipantI did not update the setup script. I was afraid I would loose information if I did that. So do that then update binaries? And by no luck all I did was look in the rom folder to see if there was an Atari Lynx folder added and there was not.
electromaster64Participantdouble post sorry
electromaster64Participant
lynx is now available and vectrex went in today as an experimental module.
How do I get the Lynx on my Pi now that it is available?
electromaster64Participant
The screen just turns black and nothing happens
I get the games to load but then it usually displays an error and says “this game requires an actual Atari operating system” then I have to reboot as my escape key will not work.
electromaster64ParticipantHow do I turn off the start+select exits emulator function?
electromaster64ParticipantOk figured out what
# Get codes from /usr/include/SDL/SDL_keysym.h
meant it works now!electromaster64ParticipantSo whatever button you map to select is the add coin button? I did that for a keyboard, both player 1&2, but it didn’t work. I saw in the file that keyboard is disabled by default how do I enable it? I am using an Ultimarc Mini Pac.
electromaster64ParticipantSo using WINSCP I right click hit edit and then what once I am done? If I hit save it won’t let me save to the Pi.
electromaster64ParticipantI used WINSCP and found the file /etc/emulationstation/es_system.cfg but it would not allow me to save it. So then I tried
sudo nano /etc/emulationstation/es_system.cfg
and it acted like the file didnt exist. How do I access it to add the .atr .ATR extensions?electromaster64ParticipantThe finish on that is fantastic! Love the glass! What size screen is that and what speakers are those?
electromaster64ParticipantI made one a while back https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaLSB9cqDQw
Do the Game Boy controls work? What battery and stuff are you using? One thing I didn’t do and wish I had was to make a video out but I cut the HDMI off to make space.
electromaster64ParticipantYeah I sold it for $150. Less than I would have liked but I bought 6 broken Genesis units so that sale covered the Raspberry Pi, all the broken Genesis units, and my time so if I make more to sell then I will score a profit.
electromaster64ParticipantWhat about 32X the emulation is terrible?
electromaster64ParticipantI made one a while back https://www.petrockblock.com/forums/topic/sega-genesis-megadrive-raspberry-pi/
But your is super clean looking. Did you paint the Megadrive or were you able to find one in excellent condition? How did you code the buttons into the GPIO?
electromaster64ParticipantAtari 5200
Atari 7800
Atari Lynx
Atari Jaguar
ColecoVision
GCE Vectrex
Kaypro II
Magnavox Odyssey 2
Tandy TRS-80 Color Computeragreed!
would also like to see Neo Geo Pocket, Wonderswan, and Philips CD-I, and 3D0 added as well.
electromaster64ParticipantThanks! I will give it a try with WINSCP and see if I can figure it out. So far I know Neo Geo, GBA, and PSX all require bios files. What else does?
electromaster64ParticipantUsed this screen and didn’t change any font settings. It is small but readable. http://www.adafruit.com/products/912
electromaster64ParticipantSselph,
Thanks! That is what I was looking for. I thought MAME had to be zipped but didn’t know if anything else was that way.electromaster64ParticipantDo your buttons representing “p,” “k,” and “f” cause emulators to behave strangely? For example “p” pauses the emulator and “f” shows me the command screen and when released goes back into the emulator. I deleted these in retroarch.cfg whenever they were listed as hotkeys so I cannot figure out why they behave strangely.
electromaster64ParticipantI put
input_player1_a = ctrl input_player1_b = alt
on the MINI PAC and it worked fine! I may rewire the ESC button to another button but didn’t want to do that as the wiring is set up to work in MAME. Try that and see if it helps.
electromaster64ParticipantI am having simmilar problems with the MINI PAC. I had problem getting “control” and “alt” buttons to work I will try “Lctrl” and “Lalt” like you did to see if this helps. My other problem is that I am using
input_player2_select = esc
I tried to use the “1” button to exit emulator but it wont and “esc” wont work as the select button. Let me know if you have any luck!electromaster64ParticipantAuction goes live Sunday Night Oct 12.
electromaster64ParticipantIt is posted on eBay for sale if anyone is interested.

Got any other suggestions?
08/27/2014 at 17:08 in reply to: ERROR – YOUR SYSTYEMS CONFIGURATION FILE HAS NOT BEEN SET UP OR IS INVALID #45781electromaster64ParticipantI installed it over a previous functioning Raspberry Pi installation. I was hoping it would update to the new looking theme available on the 2.3 SD image. Is there any way to install that configuration file without removing the SD card and starting over? My card is glued inside my project and its gonna be a pain to undo.
electromaster64ParticipantThank you! So I know I need to add the following lines of text in:
sdtv_mode=0
sdtv_aspect=1
Should I delete the rest of the text in the file and just leave that? I removed the HDMI out so I will never use it. Here is a video of my project you can see that its 16:9 and not 4:3.
