Not sure what i said but i ment that Sega Saturn is SEGA’s answer to Playstation 1 while Dreamcast is Playstation 2.. So i thought Saturn maybe was supported :)
Thanks for the list
downupParticipantReleases in sweden in some weeks.. Getting one next month! Can’t wait to see it run N64 ;p
downupParticipantWill keep track of this post, Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64 is “playable” on a clocked Rpi at 1Ghz. And many psx games. But more FPS with this rPi2 would be great!
downupParticipantOn my Xbox360 controller can i exit the emulator with Select + Start and the (xbox-button) brings up the menu to save/load and other stuff.
Really good, got an xbox controller?
downupParticipantSo i found this file in winSCP
/opt/retropie/emulators/mupen64plus-rpi/source/mupen64plus-input-sdl/dataInputAutoCfg.ini
Looks like this. Tried to change a few accourding to the right one (retroarchconfig) Can’t get it to work like i want it.

(right-click and open alone)
Looks easy
Start = button(7)
Should just change this to
Start = button(9)Save and reboot.. When i load Mario 64 is “button 7” still start button. What am i doing wrong? Is the file not edited on The sd card when i open and edit inside WinSPC?
thanks
downupParticipantEither slow SD card or overheating.
That’s all i can think of
downupParticipant
i also would like to know how to get a controller to work in xbmc, a way around this is to network your pi (wifi?) and then have the xbmc web server running so you can control it from there
btw – how did you install xbmc?? i would really like to know your process for it
Well it was really easy. I installed ES 2.3 from a SD image then went into the
sudo RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.shAnd installed it from there. After a few minutes was xbmc in “ports”. Works very well! Just want my Xbox 360 controller to work with xbmc :)
downupParticipantPlugin a Keyboard and go into your game then press F1. Go into settings/input and change everything there with your xbox360 controller.
Does the controller work in the menu? If not do you have a 360 controller for PC?
downupParticipantFound the folder, added the file but the controller don’t work in XBMC but works fine in emulationstation and all the games.. ANy idea how to install this controller to work in XBMC? Been searching google for a long time now and i have no answers for it..
downupParticipantYeah, i had to OC to turbo aswell to remove the lag from Snes, Psx
downupParticipantNice, went with raspberry standard 1000mhz overclocking. Been playing dino crisis 2 now for 2hours runs smooth!
Will build a case for my pi. But this is my setup :P
downupParticipant
increase your over voltage to 6 immediately. in fact, just use the built-in OC settings for TURBO
you can safely remove the force_turbo line as it defaults to 0 anyways
Ok, will try that. Thanks
downupParticipantHow can i see the temp when it works?
downupParticipantHi, just tried to overlock my Raspberry Pi to
arm_freq=1000
gpu_mem=384
avoid_safe_mode=1
core_freq=450
sdram_freq=500
over_voltage=4
force_turbo=0I have no sound errors in Dino Crisis 2 now :) I think you need heatsinks and a fan to make this work without freezes
Thanks the bios worked!.. but i had to lowercase scph…. .bin and …roms/bios
12/13/2014 at 21:59 in reply to: Xbox 360 controller not registering after installing drivers #83575downupParticipantI had same problem as you, i changed power supply. Found out that the controller lost the signal when ES was up. Try that
downupParticipantI can’t help you with yours question, but where should i place the Bios files?
downupParticipant
i actually got gba to work although the controller mapping was a little weird I must say. I was able to play some games in there but most weren’t playable because of the controller. It seems Y is start for most of them. Thank though. I really hope they will put out a new version of retropie with this and n64 working out of the box soon. Thanks again!
For nes, snes, sega etc is’t F1 to map your keys for Gba is’t… I don’t know :D
But on my Xbox360 controller is’t Y + R2…. :)
downupParticipantWill answer all of your questions :)
1. GBA bios can you find on google. it’s about 13kb
Unzip and rename it to gba_bios.bin
Place it in /opt/retropie/emulators/gpsp/raspberrypi/Should start now after a reboot
2. To remove IBM, Apple and ports(pc?) just go to
/home/pi/retropie/romsOpen Apple, ports and others folder and remove the start file inside
Reboot the Raspberry pi and they should be gone
3. I wish i had an answer for N64, but i can’t get it to work either. I have been trying everything and i find it hard to get answer how to get it to work. I know that it has major fps problems but it would be fun to get it going :)
To make 1 and 2 easier download WinSCP
login in with
username: root
pass: ????To make a password for the root enter emulation station and press F4
type this in the commandssudo passwd root
Type in your password twice. When you type will there be no letters. just hit enter when you are done.
Hope this helps
downupParticipantHope for a n64 fix soon, even if the games are slow is’t just awesome to have some game on it
downupParticipant
libmupen64plus-libretro.so is not compiled. Do you have a Pi with 512MB Ram? Please update RetroPie-Setup and compile again.
I have the same problem. I got the 512mb version. What should i update in retropie-setup?
Binariers-based?
Source based?..update retropie setup scripts or binariers?
thanks
downupParticipantSo annoying. Got it to who work with 2.3 image. But I had major problems with my controller so I reinstalled 2.3 and added the file Xboxclassic posted.. And now does it not work! No idea why. Worked before with the file :/
Everything else works great :D even PlayStation
downupParticipantOk will answer my own question :p
I have NO idea what i did.. But suddenly did F1 work. I can now play all games and Xbox button = F1 meny.. so i can controll ES.
This is awesome!Soo happy that it finaly works after 5h+ hours frustration ..
downupParticipantOk
Nintendo 8-bit – Works fine.. better then fine. Very good
D-pad – Moves
A B = A B
Start = Start
Select = Select
L1 = exit emulatorSnes,Playstatiom. Genesis, N64
D-Pad – Moves
A works
X works
B – Save state
Y – Load State
L1 = Exit emualtorOnly Nes that works without a single problem.
