Thank you so much! This worked like a charm!

I also used nano to change retroarch.cfg in regards to the hotkey buttons

input_enable_hotkey_btn =”N”

input_exit_emulator_btn = “N”
input_reset_btn = “N”
input_menu_toggle_btn = “N”

(N beeing the corresponding button on my joypad.)
