Hi, my BIOS is gba_bios.bin (16,384 bytes) in /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS
I am using a R Pi 2 with RetroPie v3.0 beta 2. I am using Libretro gpsp as my default GBA emulator.
charcoParticipantSeems to be the recommended power supply.
No lock ups since I installed the clean image on the new 64GB card. I decided not to use that scraper file at all. Kinda scared to use it now!
Have my iBuffalo SNES controllers in the post so haven’t bothered setting up controls until they arrive, just adding compatible roms etc.
Looking forward to finally playing some games with a pal, this has not been the easiest to configure I must say.
charcoParticipantEnsure it is the raw gba_bios.bin and not zipped maybe? I will check the exact size of my bios file tonight and let you know what it is. I tested Metroid Zero Mission the other night and it booted up fine.
charcoParticipantYes, this worked! I renamed the file in lower case syscard3.pce and placed it in the BIOS and roms folder for PC Engine Super CD games. Thanks for your help!
charcoParticipantWill do. Which folder does it need to be in? In the wiki it says both the BIOS folder and the roms folder.
charcoParticipantAnyone?

charcoParticipantYes, I saw that in your video. I will make sure to check that ES has stopped before scraping. Thanks!
I think this tool would also be a great addition to the RetroPie settings in Emulation Station.
charcoParticipantI downloaded this scraper after watching one of your Youtube videos Floob, after I had scraped using the the ./scraper -thumb_only command I started to experience Emulation Station lockups. I think this must be connected as I have done a fresh install on a new SD card this evening and not scraped any metadata and have experienced no issues with RetroPie.
Was this version just released today?
charcoParticipantOf course it didn’t work. The umage I had backed up must have had an issue with it I think. Starting from scratch woth the new 64GB sd card, a fresh stock retropie-v3.0beta2-rpi2 image, a new usb flash drive to transfer roms. The only thing I can do is rule out every variable at this stage.
charcoParticipantFound a 64GB SanDisk Ultra card in Argos for 30 Euro so I am writing my backed up image to that now and will see if it was the old card that was the issue. Hopefully I will have some good news!
charcoParticipantRight, I got as far as getting my FBA, MAME, SNES, Megadrive, TG16, NES, and Master System romsets on there and used the scraper tool to add images! All working perfectly!
Turned it on this morning and Emulation Station freezes on loading with a white screen. Was working perfectly when I finally got to bed at 2:30am. This makes no sense to me.
Reformatted and luckily had backed up an image so at least I have my romsets there, rescraping now. If this fails again I will get a new 64gb micro SD card.
At my wits end now.
charcoParticipantYeah I think the card was corrupt so I formatted it and wrote the RetroPie 3.0 image to it again.
charcoParticipantAh ok, thanks for your reply. I think I am going to go with not overclocking. I am mostly interested in 2d games so it probably isn’t necessary.
I have had lots of trouble trying to set this up all week and my sd card is corrupted again.
charcoParticipantNice! thanks for the quick reply! Yeah I am looking at a SanDisk 128GB Cruzer Blade: http://www.mymemory.co.uk/USB-Flash-Drives/SanDisk/SanDisk-128GB-Cruzer-Blade-USB-Flash-Drive
If 128GB works ok then that’s what I will go with, I can add a shedload of roms with one of these.
Thanks!
charcoParticipantHi, I have set my new Pi 2 to the “Pi 2” overclock setting.
Do I need to have my Pi 2 overclocked to get the optimum emulation for N64 and PS1?
I have it enabled but do not have a heatsink, is this safe?
Should I disable it if there is no real performance increase?
charcoParticipantNo, Streets of Rage Remake is not an OpenBOR game, it is a game developed from scratch in the BennuGD programming language, a fork of FENIX.
charcoParticipantThanks man, I appreciate the help. Really looking forward to my Pi 2 arriving and setting it up!
charcoParticipantAh, I should have gotten one of those! Did you have to format it or anything that a noob like me would have difficulty doing? :p
charcoParticipantI went ahead and ordered everything and went for a 32GB micro SD card as that seems to be the biggest I can use.
