Will do, it’s the same set up for them on github, anyone is free to fork it as it’s open source. I’ll post on their forums and see if someone is interested in doing it. Thanks, and great work on getting this on Retropie!
charcoParticipantSo happy to see my favourite game ported to Retropie! Would it be possible to actually port this to RetroArch? Then it could work on any platform and also support shaders!
charcoParticipantWidescreen isn’t natively supported in SORR so could that be it?
charcoParticipantCan you tell me what I need to do to install it please?
charcoParticipantSormaker mods are simply placed in the mod->games folder in the sorr folder. They can be accessed from the main menu in the game and played from there.
charcoParticipantThe guy who made the video says to discuss on the bennuGD forum:
Please keep us updated if there is any success :)
Very excited about the possibility of adding this wonderful game! Would be great if Sormaker mods could be played on the Pi too :)
charcoParticipantSeems someone got it working!
charcoParticipantYeah that makes sense, I have put off upgrading for a while now due to having to transfer all of my roms again.
charcoParticipantGreat advice, thanks guys! I hadn’t thought of a USB pen drive as I thought roms couldn’t be loaded off them. Maybe there were issues with an older version of RetroPie that have since been resolved.
With the Pi 3 having wifi and bluetooth that frees up USB ports too. I’ll look into a new high capacity pen drive so :)
charcoParticipantNice. If you have the UNIBIOS you can use all sorts of cheats and stuff for each Neo Geo game too :)
charcoParticipantNice! I will definitely be adding the PGM games to my ROMS :)
charcoParticipantNice, I’ve been looking to try some of those excellent Sharp x68000 arcade ports. Do the games run 100% on an RPi2?
charcoParticipantYep, I have two iBuffalo SNES USB controllers and would recommend them, very good quality.
charcoParticipantI have the same issue with KoF 2003 using the Libretro FBA emulator on my RPi2, even though it is the same rom version as all of the other working Neo Geo roms and the same rom works on both the Windows and Wii versions of RetroArch.
charcoParticipantAgain, should work on Genplus GX without that hassle. Hold X on loading a rom to choose the default emulator.
charcoParticipantWhich core are you using? Picodrive? You may have your audio in separate files (wav or mp3) as opposed to everything being in just a bin + cue file for the game. If you have separate files, Picodrive may not have the functionality to play this file type.
I had this issue but changed my default emulator to Genplus GX (it has better sound emulation in any case, whether you have an issue with CD games or not). This resolved the issue for me.
Hope this helps :)

07/30/2015 at 20:19 in reply to: Is the raspberry pi 2 fast enough for Metal Slug via neogeo emo? #103036charcoParticipantActually, I found out recently on the Libretro forum that you can resolve the Metal Slug 2 speed issues if you use the lr-fba core, go into Core Options, and change the overclock settings to 200. It works perfectly this way, better than on a real Neo Geo!
charcoParticipantI still can’t exit from lr-fba with Start + Select no matter what I have tried with configs etc. I’ll wait until Retropie 3.0 stable release when there are less issues. Until then I’ll put the Pi away and stick with Windows RetroArch v1.2.1.
charcoParticipantGlad to hear it!
charcoParticipantAwesome! I’ve been waiting a year for this release. I’ll be downloading this for Windows and Wii. I expect this will have a major impact on the next stable release of RetroPie :)
charcoParticipantEnsure you have the correct romset version for lr-fba and the correct Neo Geo Bios. Details here:

I will PM you.
06/30/2015 at 21:33 in reply to: Need help getting CPS3 ROMs to work on Retropie 3 Beta 4 (Raspberry Pi2) #101115charcoParticipantOut of curiosity, can you exit lr-fba using your hotkey + exit (select + start in my case) as I am unable to do this and have been troubleshooting the issue with Floob for weeks.
I have my Neo Geo roms in the Neo Geo folder as opposed to the fba folder, that wouldn’t have any affect on it would it?
06/30/2015 at 08:02 in reply to: Need help getting CPS3 ROMs to work on Retropie 3 Beta 4 (Raspberry Pi2) #101051charcoParticipantJust sent you a PM.
charcoParticipantIf I have box covers for Neo Geo that I have scraped with ES scraper and there are some missing, if I run scraper -mame will it only find images for the missing games so? I don’t want it to replace what I have as they are much nicer than screengrabs.
charcoParticipantYeah I have it running on lr-fba with no problems.
charcoParticipantWow, very nice indeed!
charcoParticipantThis is a great tip, thanks a million :)
charcoParticipantYep, Genplus GX isn’t as picky either as it also allows iso + cue + wav :) The audio emulation on Picodrive isn’t as good either. In other words, just use Genplus GX!
charcoParticipantI suppose that could be it, I had about 20. Down to 16 now. I think I might have been overly fancy with having Turbografx 16, PC Engine, Turbo CD, and SuperGrafx separated. I might just join all those into one menu as well as the Game Boy and Game Boy Colour.
Can I add Mega CD games to the Megadrive list too?
charcoParticipantWould that not be a serious bug if ES can’t handle adding extra systems? Surely this is the whole point of RetroPie.
charcoParticipantLucky I backed up my image yesterday, scraped for full romsets and everything working like a dream until I tried to scrape SuperGrafx, Neo Geo Pocket, and Virtual Boy. ES won’t stop freezing, even after I delete gamelists over ftp. Formatted my SD card and will start again. Lost a whole days work. If I had not backed up before scraping the Pi would be in the bin!
charcoParticipantI agree, I currently have MAME4ALL and Advance MAME romsets and there are compatibility and sound issues on the Pi 2. A more up to date version would be fantastic as it could replace my two MAME sets and FBA.
A port of one of the newer MAME Libretro cores would be my preference as it would remove the hassle of a separate controller configuration as Emulation Station now does the RetroArch controller configuration on initial set up.
charcoParticipantTrying this again and now I get
-bash: scraper: command not found
EDIT: I downloaded from command line to the RPI2 and it seems to be working now.
