CaelParticipant
RetroPie 2.6 for a base.
CaelParticipant
@Cael – Maybe I am misunderstanding, but all the retroarch cores use the retroarch.cfg here.
/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfgYou can see this in the es_systems.cfg
/etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg
i’m guessing i’d just add there my Controller configs there then to get every emulator to use em from teh getgo?
CaelParticipantif the UPS tracking is correct i’ll have my Pi2 tomarrow i’ll give it a shot.
CaelParticipanti have updated my overclock settinsg on my Raspberrypi 1 Model B, (samsung Ram)
# Overclock
arm_freq=1100
core_freq=550
sdram_freq=600
force_turbo=1
over_voltage=8
over_voltage_sdram=6nothing more on any setting or i crash/Boot-panic. i have all new settinsg to fiddle w/ when my RaspberryPi 2 arrives :D
CaelParticipant
Hey, just wondering what people have as their overclock settings, with my settings I have near perfect playback of all systems, and PSX plays perfect.
arm_freq=1000
gpu_mem=384
avoid_safe_mode=1
core_freq=500
sdram_freq=500
over_voltage=4
force_turbo=0
i used pretty much the same except i couldnt go any higher than 950ARM w/o a boot-panic.
CaelParticipanti tried this and for me the compiler barfs on somtheing reladed to edsdl
CaelParticipant*bump* well i found that the configs looking for it to be an enabled hotkey + entered as “f1″ not f1 (w/o the ” s)
CaelParticipantwell by defauly it works in the 1.9.1 SD Image but Breaks in updating the Raspberry pi’s fw i think its something about the new experimental 2D video acceleration now in the fw After 1.9.1’s SD image was released
i think we all gotta wait till somethings fixed on the matter (i had iy before updating now its gone .)
and mself w/o RGUI to map nxengine’s controlls to my xbox controller, playing by the Handheld wireless keyboard/mouse combo unit. is a major PITA
CaelParticipanti think controller Petrock but if i can figureout xboxdrv it Has an option for keyboard mapping even on generic USB Controllers. http://pingus.seul.org/~grumbel/xboxdrv/xboxdrv.html see if you can get it to work,
Shame my TV Tuner died i would of made a lil video guide on youtube showing how to use/setup RetroPie :3 though im not sure if its unclean power but.. last 2 times if i use my wireless 360 controller at boot. i get mmc0 Errors. i think i got an USB Logitech controller i can make work
though this Might be what we need! http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=903858 havent tested it as its almost 6am here i need sleep i’ll try when i get up before i stream FF7 :P)
CaelParticipanti belive its du eto the version of PocketSnesused in retroArch. ther Is a full speed snes9x build on the raspberrypi forums you can try.

CaelParticipantDone i just recently woke up so if it needs any polishing. be my guest but the nitty gritty is up :3
CaelParticipantjust noticed the SD Card image is missing the entore Retro-Arch folder. hence we dont have the joystick config utility.
CaelParticipantfar as i know its only lookin for keyboard controlls. i know offhand the xboxdrv can work with generic gamepads as well and you can map any key to keybaord controlls i know how to for Xwindows bindings but that fixed version of NXEngine doesnt play nice with XWindows
CaelParticipantbah i dont see how to edit posts.. but maybe thinsg got fixed from NXEngine Source, but http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=25163 the version he posts was fixed for the Pi that stoped Stalls in audio, and visual fixes,
CaelParticipantlooks like the SD Image isnt grabbing that script. i had to manually grab the updated one.
