    Hi Floob,

I’m a bit confused with the retroarch forum. I signed up but received no confirmation. I can log in but don’t have permission to do anything. Am I waiting for someone to confirm my account?

    Hi,

So an update from my end. I also have trackball centipede working for player 1 but not player 2 … but at the same time something else is up with player 2 for that rom (only player 1 controls shoot during player 2’s turn and I’ve reset the controls to ensure player 2 shoots). I’m starting to think it’s ROM specific?

The reason I say this is that I got marble madness working and trackball 1 controls player 1 and trackball 2 controls player 2 without needing to do anything.

Thanks for looking into it and I’ll try the libretro forums. That’s a good idea.

Yeah, pausing the game and going through the menu each time isn’t the streamlined approach I have imagined.

Thanks Floob. I noticed that in retroarch.cfg but though it only applied to whether or not the screen was rotated on start up, not whether or not you want to rotate/flip the screen while the game is running.

I’m curious to see what you find out.

I’ve spent some time in the retroarch.cfg file setting up the emulator as well as trying to get the screen flip to happen.

I tried making up commands in the retroarch.cfg with no luck. I tried:
    input_screen_rotate_btn =
    input_video_rotate_btn =
    input_screen_flip_btn =
    input_video_flip_btn =

    plus some variants related.

So my first question; does anyone know the commands available in retroarch.cfg? Or is what’s commented in the file the only commands available

I’m convinced there’s a way to do this because you can go into the menu and flip it, so it’s in the code somewhere.

So my second question; any tips on getting into the NES emulator’s code itself?

    Thanks.

Thanks Patrick, I looked deeper and found it in the video settings. Now is it possible to assign this to a button? So once player 1 is finished player 2 can flip the screen to face them?

    Thanks.

    Hi bwolf17666,

Have you made any progress with this? I’m planning on adding trackballs to my cocktail cabinet in the future (probably bought the same track ball you’ve purchased).

Also, can you go into more detail about “screen rotations” to work? Do you mean in game or just during bootup?

    Thanks.
