Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Help

I bought this USB Bluetooth Dongle in the hopes that my WIRELESS 360 controller could connect to it.

Unfortunately I have not had any luck. Do I need to buy the Microsoft Dongle?

Also as a follow up question I have not been able to play games with my WIRED Xbox 360 controller at all. It’s made by a third party (Afterglow) and it navigates the RetroPie menu fine but once I start up a game none of the inputs work. Suggestions?

Yep – you need the MS wireless receiver

Wireless 360 controllers are not bluetooth, that would be Playstation controllers.

As for a wired controller, not sure. I’m using 360 wireless and everything except MAME worked out the box.
