I’m trying to map the controls, but I get a timed out. I’m relatively confident that I’ve got this thing wired properly. Here are my specs:
Pi Model: 2B
RetroPie Version Used: 3.1Built From: SD Image
USB Devices connected: X-Arcade DIY
Controller used: X-Arcade DIY
Error messages received:
B button (down)
Timed out …etc.

10/25/2015 at 04:14 #108342petrockblogKeymasterHave you tried without using the XArcade2Jstick ? (so it maps to keyboard presses?). I prefer that on my set up.
10/25/2015 at 04:22 #108346jessejamesrichParticipantDoesn’t seem to recognize any gamepads without XArcade2Jstick installed and running. I just get a “NO GAMEPADS DETECTED”.

10/25/2015 at 04:53 #108349jessejamesrichParticipantI’m actually a bit closer here. Rather than work with the config at the command line (via ssh) I’m working with the Gamepad config on bootup. I’ve got it almost working. Seems I’ve got the buttons working fine, but can’t get the joysticks going now.
12/13/2015 at 00:47 #111703tomtuttleParticipantAny update on this? I’ve been fiddling with the same issue for many hours, now. I just can’t seem to get Emulation Station to recognize the joysticks.
01/20/2016 at 20:13 #114553jsawhiParticipantodd… I have 2 of the x-arcade solos (one internally configured for player 2, so I don’t have to sit that close to the other person playing ;) ) and both work fine out of the box as keyboard devices… I essentially have 3 keyboards connected to the Pi (actual KB, and 2 separate solo sticks). I know the board is the same in the solo as it is in the dual tank-stick… not sure why it’s timing out. *shrug*
(sorry, not adding much, but at least you know it can work)
