Sorry for this topic, it just seems that everything is everywhere and if you’re not along for the ride in the beginning, stuff can get very confusing.
I know that there is the official 2.5 BETA.
But I am pretty sure that another user, Buzz, has compiled his own Retropie-image for use with RPi2?
Where can I find his latest? Is there any more images floating around that I might need to check out?
Which image do you recommend?02/17/2015 at 19:21 #87847dannyboysweParticipantWow. I was certain that I would get a reply within minutes, since this is a forum where people post very frequently. But after a little more than an hour, nothing… :P
I thought loads of people had started emulating on the RPi2?
02/17/2015 at 19:46 #87850gizmo98Participant2.5.0 beta ;-)
02/17/2015 at 19:47 #87851BuToNzParticipantPerhaps it’s because there is a large Pi 2 thread already with several links and discussion about the 2.5 image. I wasn’t here from the beginning (Far from it) but I spent the time to read through the threads on here.
This is a project – if you don’t make the effort to read up, how will you ever contribute?
Forgive the harshness, but I do feel when you get something for free you should at least be willing to put the time in.
02/17/2015 at 20:14 #87854ladonParticipantI think your reply is bullshit. They closed that thread because it got to be too long and told people to open new threads with questions.
All the OP was asking for was other people’s experience with the available setups. Buzz’s image isn’t easy to find AT ALL and it took me a while to go through his post history to find a link to the Google Drive.
Asking for other RPi2 users to chime in with their experience isn’t deserving of a “if you get this for free” style post. If the OP was demanding that the devs stop working on anything else and deliver a fully-fleshed-out version of RetroPie for the Pi2 then by all means.
Otherwise don’t comment and move on. The post was reasonable.
02/17/2015 at 20:21 #87855petrockblogKeymaster/me makes everyone a cup of tea.
New images should be available very soon.
02/17/2015 at 20:23 #87856ladonParticipantThanks buzz, I’m looking forward to using it when my RPi2 comes on Friday. :)
With a cup of coffee to follow!
(your google drive link is broken, btw)
02/17/2015 at 20:26 #87858dannyboysweParticipantI can see what you mean, BuToNz, but ladon got the reason for my post spot on.
The now closed thread (with 252 posts) got me confused.
I would have to sit hours if I was to read EVERY post.I’ll give 2.5 BETA a go :)
Thanks for your replies guys!
02/17/2015 at 20:32 #87859petrockblogKeymasterYeh. i removed the old images, sorry. the rpi1 is the same as the 2.5.0beta on this site. the rpi2 had some bugs, and since I had a new release ready, I removed it.
*hint* People on the freenode #retropie irc channel often get to test new images before release btw ;-)

[/quote]I apologise for the hostility, I hadn’t realised the Pi 2 thread was closed.
Makes me feel a little stupid, considering I have been watching the threads here like a hawk over the past few days!
