This is my first attempt at a bar top Weecade clone… With some tweaks..
I’ll upload some of the build..
Speaker holes and sides
Starting to come together….
Painting time…
THT USB ENCODER 2 player…(having a couple of issues with FBA at the moment)
Found my soldering iron in the garage… Haven’t used it in 25 years….
Decided to go with…..
Cheap $10 speakers to give a bit of a crackle….
A couple of little mono amps…
Volume pot’
Power board…. I wanted to install an power supply but didn’t trust myself..might get an electrician to look into it for me..
19″ monitor….. Terrible viewing angle when sitting down… You get what you pay for…
Plexiglass and marquee
Plexi glass is a bit off… Has lines running through it when lit up…
Who needs shaders……
Might need to replace it some time…
Looking around for a decent retro Marquee… Does anybody know a good site?
Just in time for Christmas……
Of coarse I built this for my kids…. ;)
That looks really impressive!
I wish these were available to purchase pre-made.
Thanks….
Here in oz… They have flat pack kits… But it gets pricey… I.e $200AU for MDF laser cut kit vs $30AU raw materials.

Hi guys !
This is very nice project !
I would do the same but i don’t know how can i do with controllers :/
what i must buy for play with 2 joysticks + 12 bouttons on my Rpi ?
I have really no idea how i can plus joystick and bouttons on my Rpi :/
Sorry for my english i’m student ^^
Thanks :D
Kept tweaking…..
Changed Marquee and velcro to fix pi and usb hub
The ATX RASPI and case finally arrived over the weekend….
Case
The case is clear acrylic that comes with a fan… And heat sinks…
ATX RASPI power supply
This has been brilliant….
I affixed it to the top of the case.. (Couldn’t fit it inside)
You need to do a little soldering… But the result is your able to press a button to start and shutdown the pi….This is great when your in Terminal…
Hi :)
Can you explain how do you plug the joysticks ans boutons on your Rpi :)
Beaceause i have really nous idéal how i van play with joystick ans bouttuns can i used 2 USB controller ? :)
Thanks :D
Google / youtube
Search for DYI arcade..
Arcade joysticks.. Etc
This will give you an idea of how to install.
Your local arcade supplier / eBay will have a 2 player set with a usb encoder.
Search this forum to see what’s issues people have had with usb encoders to narrow down your decision.
Good luck.
And you what is your controller ?
Thanks for the answer i will search :)
