https://github.com/retropie/RetroPie-Setup/issues/616i was wondering if i could ask you three things however:
1. can you add in more consoles to this theme or are you done? i’m thinking of the atari lynx and Final Burn Alpha
2. you included the “simple” theme’s readme.txt, please take a look
3. do you know how to implement a sound effect for the theme? :)thanks a lot!
you’ve inspired me a little bit now01/29/2015 at 00:20 #86087litzozoidParticipantthank you for your post. I am very pleased that you like it.
because add sounds and more consoles:
sry i can´t code anything. i simply replaced the backgrounds in the simple theme
but i made more pictures and so i have all replaced in the simple theme v1.3 except
nds, ps2, psp, wii, xbox, zmachine and reupload it.about the atari lynx background. I have made one for you but in the simple theme this console is not included to date.
you can downloaded all pictures + atari lynx in my fist post.
also i have the readme file adapted.

03/03/2015 at 19:09 #90026ceuseParticipantCan you Create a Background for Kodi (Xbmc) since you can install it now via the setup script and im thinking about just adding kodi to the es_systems file but a white background would break that idea completly :-)
ok i tried doing it myself but failed miserably. probably because i cant wrap my head around the svg.
as soon as i use this config in es_systems.cfg emulationstation wont boot up with segmentation fault.
<theme> <formatVersion>3</formatVersion> <include>./../simple.xml</include> <view name="system"> <image name="background" extra="true"> <path>./art/kodi_art.jpg</path> </image> <image name="logo"> <path>./art/kodi.svg</path> </image> <helpsystem name="help"> <textColor>ffffff88</textColor> <iconColor>ffffff88</iconColor> </helpsystem> </view> <view name="basic, detailed"> <text name="system_name_1" extra="true"> <text>kodi</text> <forceUppercase>1</forceUppercase> <size>0.45 0.16</size> <pos>0.527 0</pos> <color>7b7d7f</color> <fontPath>./../art/OPENSANS-LIGHT.TTF</fontPath> <fontSize>0.055</fontSize> <alignment>right</alignment> </text> <image name="logo"> <path>./art/kodi.svg</path> <pos>0.025 0.079</pos> <maxSize>0.47 0.1</maxSize> <origin>0 0.5</origin> </image> </view>
i tried to use a modified version of the kodi logo and created a svg
cant upload the svg due to security error from the forum. but i basicly used the mobilefish online svg converter with the pgn

03/30/2015 at 16:54 #93151robertybobParticipantIs this any closer to being included in RetroPie by default?
04/12/2015 at 00:03 #94616theslxParticipantHey there,
First of all, very nice job with the theme. I really love it.I’m running into issues when using it on retropie though.
When I try to update all my systems to your theme, emulationstation crashes when it’s finished loading at startup.
I have been trying what it could be and I noticed that e.g. the GBA theme is the cause. After some more testing it showed that the GBA theme is not the only one crashing the system.I wonder what could be the issue.
In an attempt to try to resolve it I installed emulationstation on my windows pc and added all the themes, suprisingly it worked perfectly there.Have you or anyone else ever had issues with your themes not being able to load on retropie?
Thanks!
07/29/2015 at 17:34 #102979robertybobParticipantIf anyone’s wanting to use this theme and requires a Retropie theme folder (seeing as Zoid was presumably created before the implementation of the Retropie menu within Emulationstation), let me know as I’ve got a hastily-knocked up one.
08/25/2015 at 19:43 #104705thefunkygibbonParticipantOn my setup the SNES page doesn’t show any background image etc.
Any ideas?
09/13/2015 at 11:59 #106002maykiParticipantVery nice themes, I took the liberty to produce two background KODI and RETROPIE.

01/17/2016 at 20:39 #114193cybermenParticipantI think its the best Theme, but Please update! The Theme dosent work with retropie 3.3.1
02/12/2016 at 22:28 #116899cybermenParticipantHello , First many thanks for this great theme . I find it best . I only have a problem with that , in some emulators , a white image is displayed just me . the largest part is working perfectly , but For example at : snes , scummvm , ports , retropie , psx , 32x , just comes a white background image and no nice graphics as in the other . what am I doing wrong? the submenus with the rom selection go flawlessly . I have the retropie version 3.5 and added zoid via the theme installer .
02/13/2016 at 02:14 #116922herbfargusMemberPossible those systems just were never themed on zoid. Pull requests welcome.
03/10/2016 at 10:22 #119824cybermenParticipantmaybe anyone can tinker a background for the psp ?
03/11/2016 at 15:20 #119966cybermenParticipantI have homemade one

03/25/2016 at 02:01 #121436karimiParticipantHey guys where I can get a background music in the ziod theme for the different emulators when I slide to them on the emulationstation home screen. For example I scroll to SNES and see the picture of the SNES with all the data’s below and so on and now I want to hear super Mario music. In the Recallbox system it is like that.
Thanks

Recallbox uses a different Emukationstation fork, sorry.
03/26/2016 at 18:56 #121560blugooParticipantGreetings,
I made the background for the Nintendo DS emulator.
Please, let me know if you notice any mistake.
Best regards and happy Easter :)03/28/2016 at 20:40 #121753karimiParticipanthey guys, so no way to get music on it?!?
03/28/2016 at 21:49 #121760herbfargusMemberNope. Use recalbox if you want music.

can never really understand why people want music? as it’s not as if it changes with the system is it? or when scrolling thru the game list?
03/28/2016 at 23:03 #121768herbfargusMemberIt actually does change as people change systems on recalbox. But yeah I think it’s just a novelty. I’d rather play games than listen to music.
03/28/2016 at 23:25 #121769karimiParticipantyes cause u guys got just your uglly pie pluged in in yur tv sitting on the couch and playing…
