Do we have to do a binary install to get this new merged code or can we update? I just did a new setup about a week ago… and I really do not want to have to start all over.
I just did a complete binary install after updating the script. I now have the retropi config in emulation station. But, when I run it and go into Setup/Configuration I do not see the options to set default emulators. I specifically want to do this for mupen64plus…
All I did was clean image,expand,update-upgrade,update retropi-setup.sh,binary install. That should have been it right?
I just did this today from a fresh image and it worked for me. To change the default emulator, you don’t do it in the setup script, you do it in the menu right before a rom loads by pressing x or m. It’s the same menu you use to change the video settings before the rom loads.
UPDATE SETUP SCRIPT:
cd RetroPie-Setup
sudo ./retropie_setup.sh
update setup script
reboot
BINARY INSTALL:
cd RetroPie-Setup
sudo ./retropie_setup.sh
Binary Installation
reboot

Hey buzz i cant get gngeopi to work.
All my neo geo games are currently running on pifba.
I previously had then on gngeopi but retropie wont pick up that folder so i switched them to the neogeo folder.
Once i get the emulator selector up and i choose the gngeopi it just kicks me straight out of the emulator straight back into emulationstation.
I dont even get the neogeo symbol on the bottem right corner.
