Start from LXDE with an Icon

Is it possible anyhow to create an icon on the desktop, that automatically shut down x and start ’emulationstation’?

Possibly with an executable shell script that kills lxde and starts emulationstation:

#!/bin/sh
pkill -9 -f lxsession
emulationstation
