    I tested a game in nes and the sound is really low compared to super mario wars

    Super Mario war has internal sound settings that can be changed that may be higher than the default sound levels for the other systems

    you can increase alsa mixer volume level – there is a configuration under the retropie menu in ES for that. That will affect all programs though.
