So I’m using usb snes controllers. Both of them work and I can quit the game with “select + start” but the save/load states don’t work? Anyone help me out?

08/26/2014 at 05:00 #44565woabashParticipantI went to menu in /home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh and registered retroarch controller and they both work inside all the emulators. Then when I added the exit emulation hotkeys stuff that started working so I’m not sure why the last code doesn’t work. Where else should I be looking?

Append your savestate mappings to that file and maybe it’ll work.
Can you also post what your file looks like with 2 controllers? I’m having my own issues… 1 SNES controller works but the other doesn’t… but I followed ZSprawl’s 2.3 setup guide which did not mention registering a controller that way. Maybe we can both help each other out =]

Ya go to /home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh and go to setup/register retroarch and go through the setup then both your snes controllers should work on all, they do for me anyway.
