Hey guys,
I’m building a generic arcade project box that anyone can modify and start their RetroPi builds from. There aren’t many ways to build an arcade project box without a wood shop, so everything was designed to not need one. The panels are laser cut and mounting brackets and corners 3D printed.
My goal is to make easy to reproduce arcade frame blueprints. Everything out there requires cutting tools and a place to make a mess. This combination of laser cut and 3D printed components allows one to replicate what they can and outsource the rest. In addition, since it’s digital we can edit or improve the original plans as we go. All that’s hopefully needed to replicate one is a screwdriver.
It’s still early in the design process but I figured I’d learn something from you guys or this could be helpful for someone else. The costs of reproducing it yourself so far are roughly $60 ($20 corners, $35 frame, and $5 fasteners).

The structure of the box is made from these laser cut and bonded wood corners which can be used for any box shaped construction. The corners use brass inserts for strength that I purchase from heere.
