NeoGeo issues on 3.5

Since upgrading to Retropie 3.5 NeoGeo games aren’t working the same. The default emulator(s) are still the same as what I had on Retropie 3.0, and the controller config is identical but now:

– some games won’t load and just revert to emulation station
– with some games the select button won’t work for Insert Coin
– with some games the start button is now Insert coin
– with some games Select + Start won’t exit the game

Have there been changes in recent updates that I can’t see in the full changelog?

I was using pifba on all my neogeo games (75 in total).

but nevermind.. I just did a new image and it works on pifba. I have no idea what was going on there. My apologies!
