I got emulationstation working and configured my controllers. Next was time to load ROMS. I loaded about 30 MAME roms and half of them worked. The NES SNES GBA GBC roms I loaded show up and chime when I select them but they bring me right back to the rom menu. I verified that they all work on my pc so it must be an issue with the emulator on the RetroPie. I have found many of the setup instructions for how to load roms and get them working to be too vague to help me.
