I’d like some help with running roms from NAS

I’ll start with saying I’m very new to RetroPie, so I’m still trying to get this all figured out.

I’ve just installed retropie to my pi2. I’m looking to have my ROMs stored on my 3tb NAS HDD and play them over Wi-Fi in my home.

My understanding is that I need to set up the system to automatically mount the NAS HDD on boot, and direct the emulators to look for the roms on the NAS.

Could somebody give me some pointers or a guide on how to do this. I’ve read a load of tutorials online but most are conflicting so I’m unsure of the route I should take.
