Hi @all :)
I love my RetroPie but some times I wish I would have some more Performance. So I’m in deciding to buy a Raspberry Pi2 or try to run and configure Retroarch, Emulationstation and Ubuntu on an old Laptop of my.
I just made it to configure nearly all things, even autlogin into emulationstation and all emulator are working like a charme. But I cant get my Controller (a Speedlink Torid) to get work without a window manager.
When i enter into Unity and start emulation station all’s working fine but when i start emulationstation from tty1 (startx emulationstation) where no wm is started or when i log directly into from Lightdm my Controller is recognized, that can i see from Es_log.txt, but it didn’t recognize any button presses!?
How is it solved in RetroPie?
when im doing cat /dev/input/js0
on tty1 i get all button presses on screen…
this are the default user rights:

changing all rights for js0 and the events to 777 didn’t change anything on my problem
Anybody an idea?
