Retropie and 2.6.0 works amazing on the Pi 2 but how do i disable the coloured loading symbol that appears in the latest 2.6.0 version of RetroPie? It even appears in all games at the top right hand corner of the screen.

It’s a minor annoyance but one i would like to get rid of. See attached image of what I’m talking about. I have very basic and limited Linux knowledge and am self taught so some explanation for me and lurkers may be needed.

    Thanks!

That isn’t a loading symbol, usually that signifies that your power supply is insufficient. For example I had a good power supply with no issues, and then I tested another cheap one from china and all the sudden that magical rainbow box showed up… Make sure your power supply is at least 5v 2A. I bought one from kootek on amazon that works well, as does another I got from Canakit.

That can also happen with low quality usb cables. I had exactly that problem and after i changed the usb cable the square disappeared.
