Finally it seems a budget fight/arcade stick is going to make its way to my new setup!
But I was wondering if there would be any reason for this not to work with RetroPie?
It seems it is a regular USB interface so I would not expect a problem but before I spend money on it I would like to make sure.
Any help is greatly appreciated before I order 2 of these babies!

For example, I have one of these:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NO-Delay-USB-Encoder-PC-to-joystick-for-Arcade-Mame-5Pin-SANWA-Push-buttons-/191775734565and had it fitted in the arcade stick and I was away. No problems at all.
This forum may know more about the compatibility:

I’ll update when I get a chance to set it up. I started with using Hori’s Fighting Pad and it works perfect so I don’t see I’ll have an issue with the arcade stick.

Would love for you to keep us updated!
Finally an affordable stick, so I hope it works well!

Let me know if you want video proof, I can provide by the weekend.01/13/2016 at 12:12 #113886shoothereParticipantWooohooooo!
No I will take your word for it!
This is very good news and indeed, NeoGeo or CPS games will feel a lot more authentic.
Now it’s just the long wait for the online store to stock them (they said this week but meh…).
Thank you ever so much for taking the doubts away.
01/16/2016 at 09:33 #114086shoothereParticipantWell they didn’t come in this week :(
I find it surprising how hard it is to find fightsticks without paying outrageous shipping costs.
Ah well patience is a virtue I guess!
01/19/2016 at 14:35 #114376shoothereParticipantwooo! According to Track & Trace they should have been delivered! Can’t wait to hook’em up when I get home!
01/26/2016 at 18:33 #115181shoothereParticipantOnly just got around to trying it and wow…. My wife had a great time because she was actually winning games. I guess 20 years away from a real joystick messed up my skills!
Awesome Joystick for the price (€40 here) but you do feel it is a lower end of the spectrum.
Super happy with the purchase. Will start this weekend with setting up a second player but I do not expect much hassle.
