    So I set up retropie mostly so I could play my old gameboy games (who doeesn’t love super mario land 2) and I have ried everything to make the games full screen but nothing works. the image is always right in the center on my 48 inch TV.

    any help is appreciated.

    Are you using a 2.4.x or 2.5.0 image?
    If so, press “x” as the game boots up to get into the video mode section.

    I downloaded a prebuilt retropie image from this site. I used V2.3 . Do i need to update somehow? or should i try installing it from a normal raspbian linux?

    I would use 2.5.0, that would be the easiest bet.
